Luton vs Fulham Prediction: Team News and Lineups Preview
It’s a Luton vs Fulham prediction, team news, lineups, and fixtures preview next on the agenda for Tom Winch here at bettingexpert as we tackle the Sunday afternoon Premier League game at Kenilworth Road.
It’s the final game of the Premier League season. There’s nothing to play for in this encounter. The home side will be playing their football in the Championship next season. Rob Edward’s men will go out on a high in front of their home fans. Let’s hope for an entertaining final-day encounter at the Kenny.
- Luton vs Fulham Tip 1: Luton Over 1.5 Goals
- Luton vs Fulham Tip 2: Rodrigo Muniz Anytime Goalscorer
- Luton vs Fulham Tip 3: Under 2.5 Cards
Luton vs Fulham Prediction 1: Going Out On A High
England, Premier League, Sunday, May 19th, 16:00 (UK)
Luton gave all they possibly could, but it ultimately wasn’t enough. Rob Edward’s side were relegated last weekend. Many neutrals were hoping they’d survive the drop. Their final Premier League match is at Kenilworth Road, and I’m expecting the Hatters to go out on a high.
Fulham arrive here after claiming a single victory in their last eight outings. Manchester City schooled them on Saturday afternoon. Marco Silva’s men had a single shot in that 4-0 dismantling. The Cottagers haven’t performed well on their travels this season, having won just three from 18.
Despite Luton’s sour end to the campaign, I’m confident they’ll put on a show for the fans. The home side has nothing to lose, so what’s the point of playing conservatively? It’s the final day of the season, after all.
I’m backing Luton here. I can’t trust them on the Asian Handicap. They’re available to back at +0.25. It could be worth a play, but defensively they are a shambles. Instead, I’m selecting Luton in the team goals market. Luton is priced at 2.00 to score at least twice here. I think it’s an appealing proposition.
Adebayo and Morris have scored ten goals each this term. Ross Barkley and Alfie Doughty have impressed throughout. Luton has bagged 26 times in 18 matches here this season.
- Luton vs Fulham Prediction 1: Luton Over 1.5 Goals (TRACKED BET)
- Best Odds: 2.00

- Stake: 4/10
Luton vs Fulham Prediction 2: Muniz Searching For Double Digits
Rodrigo Muniz has been excellent. The Brazilian scored his first Premier League goal of the season in February. He’s now on nine. That’s more than any other Fulham player. With Aleksandar Mitrovic leaving the club at the beginning of the campaign, it wasn’t clear who would step in and score the goals. I think they have their answer in the Brazilian.
Fulham’s number 19 has incredible shot data. Muniz is averaging 4.12 shots per 90, with 1.52 hitting the target. He has a cracking chance of finding the back of the net if he comes close to those numbers on Sunday afternoon. Only Sheffield United have shipped more goals than Luton’s 81. The Hatters have managed just two shutouts this term.
Luton hasn’t managed a clean sheet in 16 consecutive Premier League matches. They’ve conceded multiple times in 12 separate occasions.
Muniz has started 15 matches on the spin. He’s recorded a SOT in 14 of those. Those include clashes against Man City, Liverpool, Spurs, Newcastle and Villa. The Brazilian will fancy his chances here. He’ll reach double figures for the season with another strike here.
- Luton vs Fulham Prediction 2: Rodrigo Muniz Anytime Goalscorer (TRACKED BET)
- Best Odds: 2.62
- Bookmaker: bet365
- Stake: 4/10

Luton vs Fulham Prediction 3: Easy Does It
Come on lads. It’s the final day of the season. Let’s have a nice friendly kick about. Why should we see cards? There isn’t anything to play for. It could go wrong, but I expect a low card count when these sides meet at Kenilworth Road.
There aren’t any card markets available at the time of writing. The line is relatively low, considering the circumstances. I’m hoping that under 2.5 cards is worth a play. The referee, whoever it may be, won’t want any paperwork.
Only Liverpool, Arsenal and Man City have received fewer cards than Luton this term. Marco Silva’s Fulham are ranked 13th. They’ve seen eight more than their upcoming opponents.
The reverse fixture saw four bookings, all coming inside the first half.
In the final weekend of the 2022/23 season, five of the ten matches finished with less than three cards. Eight of the 20 teams didn’t pick up a card. Seven of the ten matches on the final day of the 21/22 season witnessed less than three bookings.
If the prices are big enough, having a punt on under 1.5 and no bookings is worth a poke.
- Luton vs Fulham Prediction 3: Under 2.5 Cards (TRACKED BET)
- Best Odds: Awaiting Odds
- Bookmaker: Awaiting Odds
- Stake: 3/10
Luton vs Fulham Team News and Possible Lineups: Luton’s Injuries Continue
Luton’s lengthy injury list continues. Bell, Brown and Nakamba are not likely to feature. Issa Kabore won’t play again until next season. Absentees have been an ever-present problem for Rob Edward’s side.
Sasa Lukic isn’t likely to feature on the final day. The Serbian is out with a calf injury. Issa Diop’s season is done and dusted. He was dismissed against Manchester City on Saturday afternoon.
Luton possible starting lineup:
Kaminski; Burke, Mengi, Osho, Ogbene, Doughty, Lokonga, Barkley, Chong, Morris; Adebayo
Fulham possible starting lineup:
Leno; Castagne, Ream, Bassey, Robinson, Iwobi, Palhinha, Reid, Pereira, Willian; Muniz
