Liverpool vs Tottenham Bet Builder Tips: Sunday, April, 30th

As the Premier League season draws near its conclusion, we can look forward to another Super Sunday. While it also means we can look forward to our Liverpool vs Tottenham bet builder tips that are just around the corner.

Tips that will focus on whether Liverpool can make an incredibly late bid to qualify for the Champions Leage and they will also focus on whether Tottenahm can build on Thursday’s second-half turnaround at home to Manchester United.

In this article:

Liverpool vs Tottenham Preview

Sunday, April 30th, 16:30 (UK)

The deck is certainly stacked against Liverpool at present but when it comes to Champions League qualification, the Merseyside men are not giving up without a fight. A few weeks ago, it would have been easy to toss the season away but this is most definitely not the case.

Because since the 4-1 defeat at Manchester City and the post-mortem that followed, Jurgen Klopp’s men have found something in the way of impetus. Impetus that is measured by going undefeated in each of their last five league outings.

With 15 points on offer during this spell, Liverpool have picked up 11. They may not be their swashbuckling best but they are not prepared to throw in the towel just yet and this is bad news for a toiling Tottenham team.

Admittedly they did show some character on Thursday, as they clawed back a two-goal deficit to Manchester United and managed to share the points in North London. However, after Sunday’s showing on Tyneside, things could have hardly got any worse.

That mauling by the Magpies is still ringing in the ears of this Spurs side and with Cristian Stellini being sent packing after overseeing such a football disaster class, it is now Ryan Mason who takes the interim baton.

It is just one win in six league outings for Tottenham and you get the feeling that this campaign cannot end soon enough. Should they lose on Sunday, it will all but have ended anyway.

Liverpool vs Tottenham Stats & Facts

  • Before Sunday’s meeting at Anfield, the head-to-head record stands at 88 wins for Liverpool, 48 for Tottenham and 44 draws.
  • Unfortunately for Tottenham, Liverpool are undefeated in each of their last 11 (W8, D3).
  • Tottenham’s last win over the Merseyside men came back in October 2017 – a 4-1 league win at Wembley.
  • Mo Salah has scored four league goals in his last four league outings.

Liverpool vs Tottenham Bet Builder

Simply put, Tottenham do win at Anfield. If there is one ground more than any other which sees Spurs suffer from stage fright then this is certainly the one. You have to go back 12 years for the last time the North London outfit won on Merseyside.

With Sunday’s visitors in such a state of flux right now, I do not see the habit of a footballing lifetime coming to an end. Therefore, this bet builder will get underway in the simplest way how – a Liverpool win.
Then again, Liverpool have not made things easy in the past week or so. They may have got the better of both Nottingham Forest and West Ham, but they did also fail to keep a clean shet at the same time.

With this in mind, I am going to move away from a both teams to score pick and opt for a player on each team to find the net. In the red corner, I am plumping for none other than Mo Salah.

The Egyptian forward may have drawn a blank in East London on Wednesday, but he has scored four goals in as many matches. Harry Kane also drew a blank in midweek but has netted in five of his last seven league appearances.

This means that the England captain is also being backed to score on Sunday and with this bet builder looking much juicier, it is time to add some meat on the bones. Add at least one card per side and you currently get odds of 9.00 before the game gets underway.

  • Liverpool to win
  • Mo Salah to score anytime
  • Harry Kane to score anytime
  • Both teams to receive 1+ cards

Bet Builder odds: 9.00

Odds via Bet365 as at 10:30 April 28th 2023. Odds may now differ.
