Our Expert’s Leicester vs Leeds Predictions: Leicester to Win
England, Championship, November 3rd, 20:00 (UK)
Both clubs have made managerial changes since their relegation from the Premier League last season. Daniel Farke has made a solid start to life at Elland Road having guided his new side to third in the table. That pales in comparison however to the stunning impact Enzo Maresca has had at Leicester, who we are looking to get on our side here.
If the opening 14 games of the Championship season are anything to go by, it would appear Leicester’s stay in the English second tier is going to be a short one. Thirteen wins has seen the Foxes rocket to 39 points whilst boasting by far the best defence, and with no team exceeding their 29 goals scored.
It is a stunning comeback from a club that suffered a relegation nobody envisioned. It installed a brand new management team and sold crown jewels James Maddison and Harvey Barnes, albeit for a fee close to a combined £90m.
Several experienced Premier League operators were retained, with the likes of Kelechi Iheanacho, Wout Faes and Wilfred Ndidi surprisingly all available for a Championship tour of duty. With the recruitment of Stephy Mavididi and Harry Winks, in particular, masterstrokes at this level.
Arguably, the most significant coup and most successful new addition, though, is that of Enzo Maresca. Prised away from being Pep Guardiola’s assistant at treble-winning Manchester City to take over at the King Power, the Italian has challenged his players to be as focused as Erling Haaland.
The result? A start to a second-tier campaign, you have to go back to 1905 to match. Leicester are a Premier League team in all but name: dominant in possession, creating chances at will and watertight at the back.
Despite lying in 3rd place, averaging a very respectable 1.79 points per game, Leeds are already a massive 14 points behind their hosts here. Already having lost on the road at Birmingham, Southampton and only last week Stoke.
Yet we are getting the opportunity to double our money simply by backing Leicester to do something they have done in 13 of their opening 14 Championship fixtures. Win.
The odds of 2.00 simply are too good to turn down. It is far too big for a Leicester side in this kind of form for a home league fixture, regardless of the visitor.

The Longshot: Our Expert’s Leicester vs Leeds Tips
For those looking for slightly bigger odds here is an extension of the bet above. I have explained at length why I feel Leicester offer big value to win – so I do not need to go into the reasons behind the Double Chance leg of this bet builder. Simply to say we have the safety net of the draw onside here as well as the Foxes victory.
The second leg is for there to be three or fewer goals. As previously mentioned Moresca has his side ticking all the boxes as far as their processes are concerned.
None more so than defensively with the league leaders conceding just eight times in 14 Championship fixtures and never more than once in any of those. Just three of those goals have come in their seven games on home soil with Mads Harmansen keeping a clean sheet in each of the last four. Not once has there been more than three goals.
Although Leeds away games have seen more action at both ends four of their seven road trips have seen less than four goals scored. Also expect their chances to be kept to a minimum here with the home side’s well drilled high press and desire to control the game via high possession which sees them average a league high 67% when playing at home.
The final leg is simply for there to be at least five corners in the second half. Both sides like to use width, especially down their own left hand side, with each team averaging 40% attacks down that flank.
Five of Leicester’s seven home games have seen a minimum of five corners in the second half with an average of 5.43. Six of Leeds’ seven road trips have seen a minimum of five flag kicks after the interval with an average of 6.14 .

Leicester vs Leeds Team News: Abundance of squad riches to out-Fox any opponent
After close to a year out James Justin has been eased back to full fitness and has now started five of the last six Championship fixtures. In more positive Leicester vs Leeds team news and to further strengthen Enzo Maresca’s hand, Turkish international Yunus Akgun has returned to training and should be available after missing two games.
Starlet Kasey McAteer, who has four league goals to his name from eight games, came off the bench at the weekend for his first outing in four weeks since pulling his hamstring. Callum Doyle and Wilfred Ndidi remain long term absentees for the Foxes.
Leicester vs Leeds team news for the visitors? Daniel Farke has pretty much a full strength squad to choose from although one or two headaches remain in the fullback positions. Stuart Dallas is back training albeit on his own with Junior Firpo now able to join in with the rest of the group leaving only Djed Spence not yet out on the grass.
Sam Byram has put his injury nightmares at Norwich behind him for now with Jamie Shackleton, Archie Gray and Luke Ayling battling it out to claim the right back berth.
