Croatia vs Austria Best Bet

Ralf Ragnick has vacated his Manchester hell and arrives suited and booted, tasked to reignite a stuttering Austria. The national team post should offer a relatively peaceful stay away from the intense spotlight of Old Trafford.
Nonetheless, Rangnick has a job on his hands, given the level of opponent Friday brings him. In addition, Austria’s showing, which led to a Welsh knockout, proved exactly why the former Manchester United boss might be in for a tough time.
Gareth Bale’s double downed the Austrians in Cardiff, with Scotland threatening to do the same just five days later in a friendly. Austria trailed 2-0 before clawing their way back into the game for a draw, but not before exposing the shape they find themselves in.
With a Croat side up next, a nation Austria has succumbed to on all five occasions; we may see more of the same in Osijek. Given Austria’s current setup and the talent within Croatia’s ranks, an attempt to get them on side makes sense.
It’s difficult to pinpoint which sides will treat the Nations League as a glorified friendly. Yet, with Rangnick taking over the Austrian helm and the Croatia squad vying for a starting eleven berth before the World Cup – these two should provide a more than competitive match-up.
Bayern Munich midfielder Marcel Sabitzer is Austria’s shining light in terms of artistry, guile, and quality. The game should be won or lost in that midfield battle, and with Croatia’s squad packed in that department, it will be a big ask for the visiting Austrians. With Modric, Pasalic, Kovacic, Brozovic and Vlasic, to name a few, I expect them to boast the lion’s share of possession.
The 1.80 for Croatia -0.25 Asian handicap gets the hosts on side and provides a touch of security. Half stakes will be returned in the event of a draw.

France vs Denmark Best Bet

France, the reigning Nations League victors, will be aiming to put a marker down against the Danes. The two Nations League meetings between the pair will act as an interesting dress rehearsal for their upcoming World Cup Group D meeting in Qatar this November.
With that in mind, expect both nations to approach Friday evening cautiously. It’s an attempt to gauge the test that each will provide in five months and an opportunity to do the necessary homework on what should be the most formidable Group D opponent.
The last meeting came during the 2018 Russian World Cup. Once again, the two nations were pitted in the same group. In that instance, a 0-0 draw couldn’t separate the pair, suggesting that the sides weren’t a million miles apart.
Fast forward to Friday, and France are, as expected, favourites in the tie. On home soil and boasting an array of talent that many can rival, the favourites tag won’t be leaving the French for a long while at international level. Despite the wealth of superstars in the French camp, Denmark will be tough to break down.
The Danish will make it difficult for France. In their opening six World Cup qualifiers leading to the Nations League, Kasper Hjumland’s side only conceded once in six winning appearances. With this in mind, I’m hopeful the Danes will be able to shut out France’s waves of attacks. The Denmark +0.75 first-half Asian handicap returns a winner if the score is level or in the visitors’ favour at full-time.
If France does win, which the bookmakers expect, then only half our stakes are lost if Denmark loses by one goal – any greater margin and the bet will see a red cross in the bet slip.

Czech Republic U21 vs England U21 Best Bet

1st welcomes 2nd in Group G as the Czech Republic host England. The home side have played two more fixtures than an unbeaten England side who eased them aside 3-1 in November. A brace from Anthony Gordan and a Folarin Balogun effort, all before the half-time whistle, ensured three points for the young lions on that occasion.
Although the Czechs line up on familiar ground and take the mantle as the group’s best at present, the bookmakers pencil in England as Friday’s favourites.
With the first half demotion job last time the pair met, the 1.65 offered for England 0.0 first-half handicap is tempting, but it’s the England -0.25 across 90-minutes which appears the best value for me. If the Czech Republic does hold the English to a draw, we’ll see half our stakes returned.
Nevertheless, with the strength in depth in the England squad and the current three-point deficit, we should see Lee Carsley’s men out for blood. The 2.5 goals scored per90 in the Euro qualification stages is a nod towards what we can expect here. If the Czechs fail to hold off this rampant England side, it could get messy.
