Euro Qualifiers Acca Tips: More Roar From The Three Lions

Such international breaks are often tricky to navigate, especially given it is the first round of matches since the 2023/24 season began, so we’ve decided to serve up some Euro Qualifiers acca tips to help along the way. There are three value plays in the preview that provide plenty of relevant stats and data.
England and Sweden face Ukraine and Estonia, respectively, where they should both fancy their chances on Saturday evening. Israel heads to Arena Nationala in Group I, as Romania will provide a tough test for Alon Hazan’s men.
- Ukraine vs England: England -1 Asian Handicap
- Estonia vs Sweden: Sweden -1.25 Asian Handicap
- Romania vs Israel: Over 2.25 Goals

Ukraine vs England: Three Points For The Three Lions
Europe, Euro Qualification, Saturday, September 9th, 17:00 (UK)
England are in action, and they’re a side we can trust now on the international stage. Their squad is one of the best in World football, and I’m expecting them to defeat Ukraine fairly comfortably on Saturday afternoon.
This clash is taking place at the Tarczynski Arena in Poland, a factor that doesn’t benefit Ukraine in the slightest, but of course, they’ll be used to playing away from their home country. It’s a two-hour flight from London, which is rather reasonable for the Three Lions and should give them more of an advantage heading here.
These nations met at Wembley in March earlier this year, and England won 2-0 fairly convincingly. Ukraine failed to register a shot on target that day and registered a lowly 0.11xG.
Gareth Southgate’s side will control possession and create the majority of chances here. It may not be the most entertaining watch, but England should come out on top. They’ve won all four games in the group so far and haven’t allowed a shot against them in back-to-back outings.
The proposed selection isn’t the biggest of prices, but it’s one that provides a fair bit of value. England have won 21 of their previous 22 Euro Qualifiers, a hugely impressive stat. Another win here is on the cards, and this seems like a standout selection.
- Selection: England -1 Asian Handicap
- Best Odds: 1.79
- Bookmaker: Unibet
- Stake: 7/10
Estonia vs Sweden: Swede’s Far Too Superior
Europe, Euro Qualification, Saturday, September 9th, 17:00 (UK)
The Lilleküla Stadium (A. Le Coq Arena) is the destination for Sweden as they visit Estonia on Saturday afternoon in a game where the visitors must earn maximum points. Thomas Häberli’s side usually comes up short when playing the stronger nations.
Sweden have earned just three points from as many games so far. Belgium and Austria recorded wins over Janne Andersson’s side. Azerbaijan were smashed 5-0 by the Scandinavians, which shows that they are capable of giving teams a beating.
The gulf of class is huge here. Sweden possesses plenty of attacking options. Viktor Gyökeres, Alexander Isak and Dejan Kulusevski are just a handful of names included in the squad.
Sweden are best priced at 1.36 to win this game, which is short but fair given the context of the clash. The proposed selection appeals. Belgium, who aren’t quite the side they were a few years ago, departed here 3-0 winners in June, where they limited Estonia to just 33% possession and 0.47xG.
Estonia lost all four group games in their Euro Qualifiers back in 2020. Those came against Germany, Netherlands, Northern Ireland and Belarus. When the stronger national sides visit here, they have plenty of joy. I expect more of the same in this clash.
- Selection: Sweden -1.25 Asian Handicap
- Best Odds: 1.85
- Bookmaker: bet365
- Stake: 7/10
Romania vs Israel: A Bucketful Of Goals In Bucharest
Europe, Euro Qualification, Saturday, September 9th, 19:45 (UK)
Romania vs Israel doesn’t sound like the most entertaining matchups, but you’d be brave to back against the goals, given Israel’s impressive record, especially on the road.
This is a huge game in Group I. Neither side can afford to leave here empty-handed, whereas the winner if there is to be one, would take an almighty stride in gaining a potential spot at Euro 2024.
We’re four games in, and Israel has seen 11 goals scored. Each of their previous three matches has seen exactly three goals. Romania’s most recent clash ended in an impressive 2-2 draw in Switzerland after a very late comeback as they scored in the 89th and 92nd minute.
In the 2020 Euro Qualifying campaign, Israel saw 34 goals in their ten matches. Fourteen goals were scored in their four Nations League matches last year, with a whopping 44 scored in their ten World Cup Qualifying Group. 19 of those 24 matches saw at least three goals scored.
Romania aren’t quite as exciting as their opponents, but they’re odds-on favourites heading here. They beat Belarus 2-1 in their only home match so far; 30 shots were taken in that game with an xG of 2.00. When Israel faced Belarus, there were 36 shots and 3.30xG in that game.
With the goal line set at 2.25, it’s an appealing line. Israel is more often than not involved in entertaining affairs with plenty of goals. Romania aren’t known for their goalscoring but should be having plenty of joy against a side without a clean sheet in 19 consecutive games in all competitions.
- Selection: Over 2.25 Goals
- Best Odds: 1.88
- Bookmaker: bet365
- Stake: 7/10
