Spain vs England Tip 1: Yamal and Williams Aid Tackle Count
Europe, Euro 2024, Sunday, 14th July, 20:00 (UK)
Spain have been the standout performers at Euro 2024. They have won their six matches heading into the final and have had to come through the tougher half of the draw. Luis De La Fuente’s team topped a group that included Italy, Croatia and Albania before going on to eliminate Georgia, Germany and France.
De La Fuente’s team won the UEFA Nations League last year but few were talking about them going on to win the European Championships. Their maverick wingers combined with a midfield that is capable of dictating the pace of the game make them a formidable foe.
La Roja’s electric wide play has made them the most tackled team at the Euros. Across their six matches, their opponents have made an average of 20.17 tackles per game. Their opponents have made 16 or more tackles in their last five matches.
England have made the fewest tackles in the tournament with an average of just 10.5 per game. Nevertheless, we are backing them to reach the 16-tackle mark here thanks to Spain’s direct dribbling.
- Selection: Over 15.5 Tackles For England (TRACKED BET)
- Best Odds: 1.83

- Stake: 8/10
Spain vs England Tip 2: Final Tension to Increase Throw Numbers
England have made it to their second consecutive European Championship final but they will be hoping to get their hands on the trophy this time. Gareth Southgate’s side haven’t been at their best in this tournament and have ridden their luck at times. Have they hit form at the right time in order to get their name on that coveted major trophy?
Southgate has come under fire for the way England have played. The Three Lions have one of the best attacking lineups in world football but that seldom translates to swashbuckling play. The likes of Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden, Bukayo Saka and of course, Ollie Watkins, who scored the winner against the Netherlands, are all capable of coming up with that vital piece of magic here.
Spain’s matches at this tournament have seen an average of just 28 throws. However, this promises to be a closely contested affair that could be decided in wide areas. De La Fuente’s team took on France in the last round, the side that were nearest to England in the outright betting prior to Euro 2024. There were 35 throws in that one.
England’s matches at this tournament have seen an average of 28.67 throws but four of their six matches have seen 29 throws or greater. Moreover, when the Three Lions competed in the final of the last European Championships, there were a staggering 51 throws in normal time.
- Selection: Over 28.5 Throws In The Match (TRACKED BET)
- Best Odds: 1.72
- Bookmaker: bet365
- Stake: 8/10
Argentina vs Colombia: Los Cafeteros to Have chances
South America, Copa America 2024, Monday, 15th July, 01:00 (UK)
Argentina’s path to the Copa America final has been fairly straightforward. They have conceded just one goal all tournament but that was enough for Ecuador to force a penalty shootout. The world champions emerged victorious thanks to Emiliano Martinez and they are not expected to go on and lift a third consecutive major trophy.
Colombia are unbeaten in their last 28 matches, no international team is currently enjoying a longer run without defeat. Nestor Lorenzo’s side beat Uruguay in their semi-final, a team that eliminated Brazil in the first knockout round. Los Cafeteros are the underdogs but have every chance of victory.
Scaloni’s men may have an extremely solid defence but that hasn’t stopped their opponents from forcing goal kicks, particularly in the knockout stages. Argentina have had an average of six goal kicks per game in this tournament. They had nine goal kicks in their semi-final against Canada and this bet also landed in their quarter-final against Ecuador.
Nestor Lorenzo’s men have forced an average of 6.6 goal kicks per game at this tournament. Uruguay had 10 goal kicks in Colombia’s last match despite the finalists having the lead from the 39th minute onwards.
- Selection: Over 5.5 Goal Kicks For Argentina (TRACKED BET)
- Best Odds: 1.72
- Bookmaker: bet365
- Stake: 8/10
