After the success on Matchday 2, Scott Thornton brings you his Euro 2024 props acca for the final group games.

The action begins on Monday night with Albania vs Spain and Croatia vs Italy. On Tuesday, we have four matches to look forward to. France takes on Poland while the Netherlands face a stern test in the form of Austria. Later that evening, England are looking to win the group when they face Slovenia. The other game in Group C is Denmark vs Serbia.

Acca odds: 36.05

Albania vs Spain: Spain Coasting Means Fewer Throws

Europe, Euro 2024, Monday 24th June, 20:00 (UK)

Albania topped their qualifying group but performances haven’t translated to points at Euro 2024. They picked up a draw thanks to an injury-time goal from Klaus Gjasula in their last game against Croatia but they will likely need to topple Spain to make it to the round of 16.

Spain’s win over Italy meant that they have already secured 1st place in Group B. Nevertheless, Luis De La Fuente will want his side to put in another strong display when they take on Albania. The Spaniards have been one of the most impressive sides in the group stages and will fancy their chances of going deep into the tournament.

There have been 32 throws or less in both of Albania’s games so far. There were just 22 as they struggled to win possession in their last match against Croatia.

Spain have long been the masters of keeping the ball. They have showcased their ability to go direct at times in this tournament but they will likely opt for control here. There were just 21 throws as they dominated Italy in their last game. Their last 10 matches have seen an average of 30.89 throws.

  • Selection: Under 31.5 Throws in The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.83
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

Croatia vs Italy: Desperation a Crucial Factor

Europe, Euro 2024, Monday 24th June, 20:00 (UK)

Croatia’s task is clear ahead of this showdown with Italy. They have the opportunity to leapfrog Luciano Spalletti’s men with a win so long as Albania don’t beat Spain. Zlatoko Dalic’s side haven’t been at their best but you can write the Croatians off at a major tournament at your own peril.

Italy looked toothless in their last match against Spain. They were fortunate to only lose by the one goal and it remains to be seen just how much that performance has damaged their confidence.

Croatia’s matches in the tournament so far have seen 15 and 18 goal kicks and desperation could most certainly kick in here. Three points is an absolute necessity so they could force a decent number of goal kicks if they don’t take an early lead.

Italy could also find themselves chasing the game at some stage so we are backing the over 14.5 goal kicks in the match. This is above the average of 13.44 goal kicks in their last 10 matches but the nature of this clash means we should see more.

  • Selection: Over 14.5 Goal Kicks In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.72
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 7/10

Netherlands vs Austria: Gegenpress Provides a Betting Opportunity

Europe, Euro 2024, Tuesday, 25th January, 17:00 (UK)

The Dutch kept it tight against France and were seemingly happy to take a point. They are level on points with Les Bleus at the top of the group after being denied a winning goal by VAR. Ronaldo Koeman’s side could drop out of the top two if they are beaten here.

Austria have been impressive in this tournament so far. They caused the French a number of problems in the first group game before going on to display their ruthless streak in the closing stages against Poland. They are a point behind the Dutch and a win here would guarantee them a place in the round of 16.

The Netherlands’ last 10 matches in Koeman’s second stint as boss have seen an average of 33.86 throws per game. Our bet landed with ease in their first game against Poland, which saw 42 throws. There were just 29 in their clash with France but both teams seemed content with a point in the latter stages.

Ralf Rangnick’s high press has meant that there have been plenty of throws in Austria’s matches so far. Their two matches have seen 42.5 throws on average, the second most in the competition. Since the former Manchester United manager took charge, their matches have seen 40 throws on average.

  • Selection: Over 33.5 Throws In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.80
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

France vs Poland: Poles Have Nothing to Lose

Europe, Euro 2024, Tuesday, 25th January, 17:00 (UK)

Kylian Mbappe sat out of France’s last match with a broken nose and he was duly missed. The French looked devoid of ideas at times. Ousmane Dembele was a bright spark at times but Didier Deschamps will be keen to get his talisman back out on the pitch ahead of the knockout stages. France’s place in the next round isn’t assured but four points would likely be enough to secure them a spot as one of the best 3rd place teams should the worst happen.

Poland were in danger of being blown away in the early stages against Austria but they managed to rally.  Despite the improvement, they eventually succumbed to a 3-1 defeat so making it out of the groups is seemingly impossible at this stage.

France took on Poland at the last World Cup and conceded 12 shots. The Dutch managed eight shots against the French in their last game despite showing no real desire to commit men to the attack.

The Poles are averaging 15.9 shots per game since Michal Probierrz took charge of the team. France are a step up in quality in terms of opposition but their willingness to go direct and the fact there is no pressure on them here should mean they get a reasonable number of attempts.

  • Selection: Over 7.5 Shots For Poland (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.90
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 7/10

England vs Slovenia: Southgate’s Men Commanding Possession

Europe, Euro 2024, Tuesday, 25th June, 20:00 (UK)

England’s performance in the 1-1 draw with Denmark drew plenty of criticism. The weight of expectation is not lost on Gareth Southgate, who knows he is blessed with one of the best squads in the tournament. However, the Three Lions remain in a commanding position and will fancy their chances of topping the group.

Slovenia have drawn both of their matches so far. They finished level on points with Denmark in qualifying, having amassed a total of 22 points. Matjaz Kek’s team have shown resilience thus far so England must be aware of the threat they pose.

Southgate will remain undeterred by his critics as he looks to calmly guide his team into the knockout stages. England should control the ball here and we should see very few throws as a result. Their matches so far this tournament have seen 29 and 27 throws. The Three Lions’ qualifying matches saw an average of just 29.25 throws so this isn’t a new trend

Slovenia’s matches at Euro 2024 have seen 35 and 30 throws. They have had less than 40% possession in both matches and this encounter with England is undoubtedly their toughest test. The throws tally could drop with Slovenia set for a long evening of chasing the ball.

  • Selection: Under 33.5 Throws In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.83
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

Denmark vs Serbia: Plenty of Goalmouth Action

Europe, Euro 2024, Tuesday, 25th June, 20:00 (UK)

Denmark were perhaps unfortunate not to nick the win against England. Kasper Hjulmand’s men were out for revenge after being dumped out of the last Euros by Southgate’s side bit it wasn’t to be. They come into the final group game knowing that a point would likely be enough to see them get to the round of 16.

Serbia have been involved in two very cagey affairs. They salvaged a draw in the very last minute against Slovenia and managed to restrict England to just five shots in their first game. They need a win against Denmark to have any hope of making it out of the group.

The Danes created plenty of chances against England and Slovenia. They had 16 shots in both of those games and there were at least 27 shots overall. The teams last went head-to-head in March 2022. There were 27 shots in that one.

The Serbs know only a win will do so expect them to show real attacking impetus. Their strength is undoubtedly in their forward line and the threat they pose from set pieces so let’s hope they can rack up the attempts here. There were 26 shots in their draw with Slovenia.

  • Selection: Over 25.5 Shots In The Match (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.90
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10
