England vs Haiti Bet Builder Tips, Stats, Player Props

European champions, England, are set to begin their World Cup campaign in Brisbane against debutants Haiti in Group D, and with that, we’ve brought you England vs Haiti Bet Builder Tips at bettingexpert. The Lionesses are playing in their sixth World Cup, reaching the quarter-finals in the last four editions.

Sarina Weigman will be hoping to recreate her 2019 campaign with the Netherlands to achieve the magic double. The Dutch manager has lost just one game in the last three major tournaments (Euros and the World Cup).

The stage is very much similar four years later as England hopes to achieve the dream double (Euros + World Cup).

England vs Haiti Lowdown – Bronze Adds Golden Touch to Lionnesses

The European champions are trying to find their best XI after injuries to key players. Euro golden ball and boot winner Beth Mead is missing in action due to an ACL injury. Captain Leah Williamson has suffered the same fate. Centre-back partner, Millie Bright, is only just recovering from an injury as well.

Despite question marks over certain positions in the lineup, Man City’s Lauren Hemp remains a constant. The 22-year-old winger finished last season with seven goals and six assists during the 2022-23 campaign.

The youngster is an electric presence with the ball, consistently taking on players and creating shots for her teammates. Only wing partner Chloe Kelly (82) recorded more key passes than Lauren Hemp (58) in the league last season. The duo also ranked top for crosses into the penalty area in the WSL last season.

Veteran fullback, Lucy Bronze, is another key member of the squad. The fullback has played the second most minutes for England in the last two World Cup campaigns. The Barcelona right-back is a bombing presence in attack and has good crosses on her. She led the charts for passes into the penalty area (13) and crosses into the penalty area (6) at the Euros last year.

Rachel Daly, an integral member of the Euro-winning squad from left-back, is competing for the striker position. The former Houston Dash player won the golden boot in the WSL scoring 22 goals with Aston Villa. The 31-year-old is a hard-working presence up front, helping England defend from the front.

A record of scoring in each of their last 13 games at the World Cup might be a good sign, but things are not all bright.

The Lionesses are coming into the World Cup on the back of two scoreless games against Australia and Portugal. Weigman’s side were unable to break down Portugal’s stern defence last time out.

England are also known for a slow start at the World Cup. They have won just two of their last five World Cup opening games. However, they put their foot on the pedal in the later stages, losing just once in the final two group games in the last five campaigns.

Haiti are one of the eight debutants in the competition and the third-lowest-ranked nation at the World Cup. The CONCACAF side beat Chile 2-1 in the Intercontinental play-offs, earning a ticket to down under. The sides are hopeful ahead of playing on the biggest stage as they experience a joyous golden generation.

Head coach, Nicolas Delépine, will be hoping for the same magic from Lyon’s Melchie Dumornay. The 19-year-old scored both goals against Chile in the Intercontinental play-off finals. The youngster has scored eight goals in 13 senior appearances. The former Reims forward is excellent at generating shots for herself. She led the league in shot-ending carries (25) last season.

However, Haiti come into the tournament, having lost each of their previous four games and scoring just three goals in them. Overcoming England might be their most formidable task yet.

England are considered heavy favourites going into the tie which informs our bet builder tips. If things go as expected, the England fans won’t worry about the cost of attending the 2023 World Cup.

England vs Haiti Bet Builder Tips: Chloe Kelly to kickstart Lionesses campaign

Both Teams To Score – No

We’ll be using the bet365 bet builder today. Anyone partial to a bet builder will know full well that there isn’t much better on the market in terms of the bet builder function and the markets on offer. Thankfully, that’s also the case with the markets for the Women’s World Cup – not the same can be said about other bookmakers.

We’ve got player shots, shots on target, cards and much more to get stuck into. So, without further ado, let’s get into it.

The inexperience of Haiti at the major finals and their poor run of form suggests it will be difficult for them to break England down. Three goals in the last four games suggest Haiti aren’t the most threatening side in attack. No CONCACAF side has won their first game at the World Cup final except the USA.

With this in mind, BTTS-No feels like an excellent place to start for the proposed bet builder.

Chloe Kelly to Score Anytime

Chloe Kelly was the gamechanger for the Lionesses at the Euros from the bench. With the absence of Beth Mead, the Man City winger looks likely to start and could be a source of threat.

The 24-year-old is coming on the back of a five-goal and nine-assist season where she recorded 77 shots (fourth most in the league). The direct winger is constantly looking to create with her crosses or get on the end of passes at the far post.

So, at 1.80 to score anytime in the opener, it finishes the bet builder off nicely and gets us to a 2.30 shot.
