Darmstadt vs Bochum: Damning Defensive Statistics Spells Danger

Germany, Bundesliga, Friday, November 3th, 19:30 (UK)

Darmstadt suffered a crushing defeat at the Allianz Arena last weekend. They were reduced to nine men in a fiery first half. The floodgates opened after the break as Bayern Munich found the net eight. Torsten’s Lieberknecht’s team need to dust themselves off ahead of this weekend’s clash with Bochum.

Like Darmstadt, Bochum also looks set to battle against the drop this season. They currently occupy the relegation playoff spot but can go above the home side with a win here. Bochum are still awaiting their first league win of the season.

This clash sees two of the Bundesliga’s poorest defences do battle. Darmstadt matches this season have seen 4.78 goals per game on average. This is largely to do with their lacklustre defence. They have the worst xGA in the league with 23.29 and are conceding 3.33 per game.

As you’d expect from a side without a win, Bochum have been poor going forward but expect them to have some joy here. Both teams scored in both meetings between these sides in the 2020/21 season, the last time they played in the same division.

Koln vs Augsburg: Home Advantage Could Make the Difference

Germany, Bundesliga, Saturday, November 4th, 19:30 (UK)

The Bundesliga was kind to us last weekend, so we have a German double-header once again. Koln were hammered by RB Leipzig last weekend, but their last outing on home turf was much more promising. They’ve picked up just four points so far this season.

Augsburg have won consecutive Bundesliga matches and climbed to 10th in the table. They are not six points above the bottom three and will be hoping to improve on last season, where they avoided the playoff by the skin of their teeth.

Koln were rampant in their home win in the Rhine Derby. They showed a great deal of attacking impetus in that clash and will take confidence into this one despite the humbling at Leipzig. Koln have won their last three head-to-heads with Augsburg. Both teams have scored in four of the last five meetings, and there has been an average of 4.2 goals per game over that period.

Augsburg’s matches have seen the 3rd most goals in the Bundesliga, with 4.33 per game. They have won 5-2 and 3-2 in their last two matches and are yet to keep a clean sheet this season.

Nottingham Forest vs Aston Villa: Goal-Friendly Emery

England, Premier League, Sunday, November 5th, 14:00 (UK)

Nottingham Forest were beaten 3-0 by Liverpool last weekend and haven’t won a Premier League match since they won at Stamford Bridge at the start of September. They’ve picked up four points since, but the winless run has them dropping back towards the relegation zone.

Aston Villa continued their rich vein of form by beating Luton in their last match. Unai Emery’s time have been formidable of late, and they are just four points behind the league leaders.

Steve Cooper’s side have scored in all four of their home Premier League matches so far this season. They are averaging 1.5 goals in these matches and conceding 1.25. The game finished 1-1 when these sides met at the City Ground last season.

Villa’s matches have seen plenty of goals. Forty goals have been scored across their ten league matches; only Brighton matches have seen the net bulged more often. Emery’s side are deadly going forward and have scored the joint most goals in the league. Both teams have scored in their last four Premier League matches.

  • Selection: Both Teams To Score & Over 2.5 Goals (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 2.00
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stakes: 7/10
