Huddersfield vs Peterborough Best Bet
Fri, March 4th, 19:45 (UK Time)
After steadily chipping away at the prospect of automatic promotion, The Terriers find themselves on the cusp. Unbeaten in 2022 with their last loss dating back to November, this vein of form couldn’t be scripted any better.
It’s the type of purple patch that propels you out of this unforgiving division. On paper, there shouldn’t be any slip-ups against a Peterborough outfit at the foot of the Championship.
The Posh’s eight defeats in ten draw a stark comparison to their hosts. Over those ten games, Peterborough conceded an average of 2.20 goals per 90.
Grant McCann is the new face in the dugout for Peterborough. Unfortunately for him, there was no new manager bounce in his 3-0 loss to Hull. The Manchester City performance was much-improved, but a lesson in chasing the ball just 72 hours beforehand isn’t ideal preparation.
Huddersfield to replicate Hull and City’s showings by winning and over 1.5 goals is priced at 2.00 on bet365. With the inclusion of the bookmaker’s early payout, this double-your-money play may prove to be a steal.
- Selection: Huddersfield Win and Over 1.5 Goals
- Best Odds: 2.00 (bet365)
- Stakes: 8/10

Fulham vs Blackburn Best Bet
Sat, March 5th, 12:30 (UK Time)
Other than a momentary hiccup against a resurgent Huddersfield Town, Fulham have held no prisoners this year. Eight wins from 10 since the start of 2022 has reaffirmed title aspirations in the capital.
Marco Silva’s squad is not only racking up the necessary points-haul, they’re doing it in some fashion. Fulham average 2.4 goals per game at Craven Cottage. The Cottagers’ goal-hungry striker, Aleksandar Mitrović, has 34 all to himself. The no-nonsense Serbian brings bite and a clinical edge to proceedings upfront. Scoring in 22 of 31 Championship appearances, don’t be surprised if he has a part to play.
Although Fulham have all the parts to a well-oiled goal-laden machine, Blackburn are no pushovers. Rovers have overseen under 2.5 goals in all 10 fixtures this year, grinding out results in six matches.
bet365’s price of 3.60 for a Fulham win and under 2.5 goals seems generous. If Blackburn can halt the often relentless waves of Fulham attacks, we may get some joy.
- Selection: Fulham Win and Under 2.5 Goals
- Best Odds: 3.60 (bet365)
- Stakes: 6/10
Bristol City vs Birmingham City Best Bet
Sat, March 5th, 15:00 (UK Time)
For those who follow The Robins, a rollercoaster of emotions stands as the default setting. It’s a side well and truly as likely to score at one end as they are to concede at the other. Topping the Championship’s both teams to score charts at Ashton Gate suggests as much.
Both teams have scored in 72% of Bristol City’s home fixtures and in 71% of their away matches. There’s no hiding from goals this season. Before succumbing to a 2-0 loss last weekend, BTTS punters got lucky in the previous 13 Bristol City displays.
It’s a familiar story for their opponents on Saturday. From the last 10 fixtures, only one Birmingham match has failed to record both sides scoring.
The Midlands outfit haven’t recorded a win away from home since the end of October. Such away form usually attributes to a relegation scrap. Luckily for the Brummies, there’s a handful of sides a touch worse than themselves.
Outside of the bottom 4, Bristol City and Birmingham have conceded the most goals this term. Hopefully, that in itself is enough to get William Hill’s yes on BTTS over the line.
- Selection: Yes on Both Teams to Score
- Best Odds: 1.70 (William Hill)
- Stakes: 8/10
