Swansea vs Barnsley Best Bet

Fri, 15th April, 15:00 (UK time)

Swansea City enters the weekend performing impressively of late. In fact, only four teams have picked up more points in 2022 than Russel Martin’s Swansea side.

Sitting eight points off the playoff spots at this stage will mean their form in the final third of the season will likely prove futile. However, the Swans faithful will be hopeful that the same appetite will follow the team next term.

Swansea have won six and drawn once in the last nine fixtures. Taking away the 1-5 Swansea thrashing after a first-half red card at 0-0, Swansea scored 15 and conceded four from the said period.

Joël Piroe and Michael Obafemi’s partnership is one that will have Swans fans licking their lips for next season. The pair have scored 27 goals between them and look capable of causing any opposition problems at this level.

Swansea’s opponents, Barnsley, should foresee a few problems of their own on Friday. It has been a difficult season on the road for The Tykes—Barnsley out-perform Peterborough as the worst away side in the division with just seven points.

Losing 15 of their last 17 away games, I’m expecting something similar in Wales.

  • Selection: Swansea and over 1.5 goals.
  • Best Odds: 2.15 (bet365)
  • Stakes: 10/10

Luton vs Nottingham Forest Best Bet

Fri, 15th April, 12:30 (UK time)

Two promotion hopefuls meet at Kenilworth Road in the Championship’s lunchtime kick-off. And, for all intents and purposes, it should be a cracker.

Third-placed meets fifth with the playoffs hanging in the balance, whilst one eye nervously observes the automatic promotion spots. It’s another match-up in the run-in that should be highly charged and a close call in terms of on-pitch quality.

With it being a frightfully tight game to predict, it’s usually wise to divert attention to the card markets, especially if we get lucky with the official in charge, which, in this case, is James Linington.

Linington boasts a 4.72 average per90 from 25 Championship matches this campaign. Making up the majority of that lofty total is the 3.48 cards shown in the second half. The ref has shown both teams a second half card in 72% of games this season.

Out of the most recent ten games for either side, Forest has racked up 5.60 total cards per90 on average. On the other hand, Luton arrives with 4.50 bookings overseen in their last ten fixtures.

Considering the above, William Hill’s 1.75 works out to be a favourable price if this season’s figures are anything to go by.

  • Selection: Over 3 Cards and a Second Half Card Each.
  • Best Odds: 1.75 (bet365)
  • Stakes: 10/10

Stoke City vs Bristol City Best Bet

Fri, 15th April, 15:00 (UK time)

It was another game in which both teams scored in Bristol last weekend. Peterborough’s visit made it three on the bounce for Bristol-BTTS backers.

It has been a rather lucrative strategy this term, with 71% of The Robins’ Championship fixtures landing the popular market. Stoke City themselves are no strangers to sharing goals in 2021/22.

The hosts’ 54% BTTS total stands them as the seventh-highest total in the league. The Potters’ capability in the final third has seen them register in 16 of 18 matches this calendar year. In the same period, this travelling Bristol City side muscles in on the scoresheet in 15 of 17.

Equipped with three wins in Stoke’s last four, City fans will be hoping for a solid end to the season. Stoke haven’t been able to piece together a better run than three wins in five this campaign, a nod towards the inconsistencies limiting them to a likely mid-table finish.

Bristol City are not yet mathematically safe from relegation. It would take a drastic turn of events for them to be playing League One football next year, but it’s possible. Nevertheless, safe or not, it’s difficult to overlook a Bristol BTTS punt at 1.85.

  • Selection: BTTS – Yes
  • Best Odds: 1.85 (William Hill)
  • Stakes: 10/10

WHAT IS A CHAMPIONSHIP ACCA?

A  Championship acca is an accumulator bet, a type of bet that consists of several selections across different matches that are combined together into one single bet. An acca usually consists of at least four selections but many more can be included. There will be odds for the single bet as a whole which is calculated by multiplying the odds of all of the selections. A Championship acca is one of the most popular ways to bet. This is the case because they can create potentially massive odds for a small stake. Many punters choose to create Championship accas which is what we have created here. If one of these selections loses then the Championship acca will lose. This type of bet needs every selection to win in order to succeed.
