The Sardinians have achieved mathematical salvation with a match to spare thanks to a hard-fought 2-0 win over Sassuolo. 

It was only the second away win for Cagliari who, after reaching Italy’s top flight last summer via the Serie B play-offs, have built their successful season on a strong home form.

Cagliari vs Fiorentina Prediction 2: Sardinians often a good watch

In fact, since mid-February Cagliari have only been defeated three times since and are unbeaten in the last six home games.

Cagliari vs Fiorentina Team News and Possible Lineups: no risks for Italiano ahead of the cup final

Claudio Ranieri has to do without the suspended Dossena, who should be replaced by Obert Mina, who has played in recent weeks with a calf muscle problem and might be given a rest. Makoumbou and Jankto are injured. Prati, who scored against Sassuolo, will probably start in the middle of the field. Luvumbo should return from the first minute.
