RB Leipzig vs Dortmund: Leipzig Have the Upper Hand

Germany, Bundesliga, Saturday, 27th April, 14:30 (UK)

RB Leipzig comes into this match two points ahead of Dortmund. Marco Rose’s side currently occupies 4th place in the Bundesliga and will want to keep their noses in front here. Germany looks set to earn an additional Champions League spot but the teams won’t want to take that risk. Leipzig beat Dortmund 3-2 earlier in the season.

Edin Terzic’s side will have one eye on their Champions League semi-final against PSG but they need to perform on Saturday. Dortmund have lost just one of their 15 away matches this season and have won the last four.

Leipzig’s league matches this season have seen an average of 29.05 shots per game. They are contributing with 17.5 of those shots and will want to take the game to the visitors here. Rose’s side have had 16 shots or more in their last five matches at the Red Bull Arena. They are averaging 18.4 shots in front of their own fans this season.

Dortmund are conceding 16.33 shots per away game in the Bundesliga. They conceded 26 shots in the reverse fixture and 20 shots the last time they visited this ground.

  • Selection:  Over 15.5 Shots For RB Leipzig (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.83
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

Bayer Leverkusen vs Stuttgart: Alonso’s Relentless Team

Germany, Bundesliga, Saturday, 27th April, 14:30 (UK)

Xabi’s Alonso’s men have already been crowned champions but they are still hoping to go the season unbeaten. It took a late goal against Dortmund to keep that record intact. They face another stern test in the form of Stuttgart this weekend.

Stuttgart have gone from relegation battlers to Champions League hopefuls in the space of a season. They are currently 3rd in the league having amassed a total of 63 points. However, they are beaten 2-1 by Werder Bremen last weekend.

Bayer Leverkusen have been exceptional in all areas of the field this season and are averaging 20.07 shots per Bundesliga home game as a result, only Bayern have managed more. Xabi Alonso’s men have had 17 shots or more in 11 of those 15 games.

Stuttgart deserves their place in the top four but are likely to be on the back foot in this one. They are conceding an average of 12.8 shots per away game in the league but Leverkusen racked up 18 attempts in the last Bundesliga meeting.

  • Selection: Over 16.5 Shots For Bayer Leverkusen  (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.83
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 8/10

Darmstadt vs Heidenheim: Safety Within Shooting Distance for Heidenheim

Germany, Bundesliga, Sunday  28th April, 18:30 (UK)

The home side could be relegated to the second division this weekend. They are marooned at the bottom with 17 points after 30 matches. Darmstadt did manage to beat Koln 2-0 last weekend but it is too late for a great escape.

Heidenheim are in no danger of returning to the second tier of German football. They are seven points above the relegation playoff place and 10th in the league with four games left to play. A win on Sunday would likely guarantee their safety.

Darmstadt are conceding the second most shots in the German top flight this campaign with the opposition having 16.9 shots per game on average. This bet has won in five of their seven home matches in 2024. They have conceded an average of 16.71 shots during those matches.

Heidenheim average the fewest shots per game in the Bundesliga but they are capable of hitting the required mark against Darmstadt. They managed 16 shots in the reverse fixture as they ran out 3-2 victors.

  • Selection: Over 13.5 Shots For Heidenheim (TRACKED BET)
  • Best Odds: 1.72
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stake: 7/10
