Borussia Monchengladbach vs Borussia Dortmund: Frantic Borussen Derby
Germany, Bundesliga, Saturday, 13th April, 14:30 (UK)
Borussia Monchengladbach beat Wolfsburg 3-1 in their last match to climb to 11th in the Bundesliga. There is no real danger of them being relegated, but they will be desperately disappointed with how the season has gone.
Dortmund suffered a setback in the race for a place in the top four last weekend. They were beaten 1-0 by Stuttgart, which saw them fall behind RB Leipzig in the table. Edin Terzic’s side were also beaten in the first leg of their Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid. They will be looking to return to winning ways here.
Monchengladbach matches have seen the most shots in the Bundesliga this season, with an average of 30.25 per game. There have been 29 shots or more in their last five home matches, with an average of 33.4 per game.
Our bet has also won on the last three occasions that Dortmund have faced Monchengladbach. There were 33 shots In the reverse fixture and 31 when they last met at this ground.

Mainz vs Hoffenheim: Relegation Battle Hots up
Germany, Bundesliga, Saturday, 13th April, 14:30 (UK)
Mainz’s comprehensive 4-0 win over Darmstadt last weekend moved them above Koln and into the relegation playoff place. The gap to safety is now just three points, thanks to their superior goal difference. They are looking to make it three consecutive home wins when they host Hoffenheim.
Hoffenheim won their first five Bundesliga matches on the road in this campaign. However, they have struggled since then, winning just one of their nine away matches. Hoffenheim have also lost on their last two visits to this ground.
Mainz are averaging 17.14 shots per home game in 2024, and they have had 18 shots or more in four of the last six. They should have plenty of opportunities against a Hoffenheim side that are leaking chances.
The visitors are conceding the third most shots in the league this season, with an average of 16.71. Their away matches in 2024 have seen them concede an average of 21.83 shots so we should see Mainz have a few here.
- Selection: Over 17.5 Shots For Mainz (TRACKED BET)
- Best Odds: 1.80
- Bookmaker: bet365
- Stake: 7/10
Bochum vs Heidenheim: Bochum Looking Over Their Shoulder
Germany, Bundesliga, Saturday, 13th April, 14:30 (UK)
Bochum are just three points above the relegation playoff after last weekend. They have a goal difference of -25, which means they are five goals worse off than the team below them. Their previous match against Heidenheim was a dour affair that ended 0-0. Expect much more excitement this time around.
Heidenheim have no relegation worries. They are sat in 10th place after beating Bayern Munich 3-2 last weekend. That was just their second win in 12 Bundesliga matches. Remaining in the top division was the priority for the newly promoted outfit, and they will want to finish the season strongly.
The home side’s matches have seen an average of 29.96 shots per game, only Borussia Monchengladbach matches have averaged more shots. Bochum had 21 shots in their last home match against Darmstadt. They are averaging 17.64 shots per league game in front of their own fans and could exceed that given the importance of the game.
Heidenheim have had fewer shots than their opponents in all 14 of their away matches in the Bundesliga. They are conceding an average of 16.86 shots over that period.
