Swindon vs Newport County: Flynn Faces Off Against Former Club
England, League Two, Saturday, October 14th, 15:00 (UK)
Consecutive league defeats have pegged Swindon back in League Two. They’ve dropped to 9th in the table, but they remain just one point outside of the playoff places. Michael Flynn’s side were narrowly beaten away at Bradford last weekend, but he will be hoping his team can return to winning ways against his former club.
Newport finished 15th last season, and they will be looking to avoid a relegation battle this season. The Exiles have 14 points after 12 matches and have seven points of breathing room between themselves and the relegation zone. They have recorded just one win in their last seven league matches.
Swindon’s matches have seen the most goals in League Two, with an average of 4.09 per game. They have just one clean sheet in their last six league matches but will be confident of scoring a couple themselves, with an average of 3.4 goals per home game so far this season.
Both teams have scored in Newport’s last eight league matches. Over this period, Graham Coughlan’s side are averaging 1.75 goals per game and conceding two.
- Selection: Both Teams To Score & Over 2.5 Goals

Crewe vs Tranmere: Parking the Tractor Proving Difficult
England, League Two, Saturday, October 14th, 15:00 (UK)
We are staying in League Two for our second pick. Crewe are just four points off the top of the league and have the quality to compete for automatic promotion this season. They were beaten 4-2 by Salford last weekend, ending their six-match unbeaten run in the league.
Tranmere have recorded just three wins in their 12 matches so far, and they come into this clash on the cusp of the relegation zone. They’ve won three of their last four matches against Crewe, but they are the clear underdogs coming into this one.
Both teams have scored in all six of Crewe’s home league matches this season. Throughout these matches, Crewe have scored 2.5 goals per game and conceded 1.33. Their games overall have seen the 2nd most goals in the division, with an average of 4.08.
This bet has landed in four of Tranmere’s last five matches. The exception was the 2-0 win over Accrington Stanley. Over that period, Tranmere conceded two goals per game and scored 1.8.
- Selection: Both Teams To Score & Over 2.5 Goals
- Best Odds: 2.00

Wrexham vs Salford: Wrexham’s Blockbuster Home Matches
England, League Two, Saturday, October 14th, 15:00 (UK)
Wrexham’s return to the football league was met with much fanfare. Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have brought an unprecedented level of exposure to the club based in north Wales, but they will want to continue to climb up the football pyramid. Wrexham are unbeaten in their last five home matches in the league, but they are taking on a strong side here.
Salford have won their last three league matches after previously enduring a torrid run. The wins have seen them climb to 13th, and they are now just four points behind Saturday’s opponents. Like Wrexham, Salford have also benefited from their high-profile owners, but they have had a hard time earning promotion from League Two.
Wrexham’s home matches in the league are averaging a staggering six goals per game. Phil Parkinson’s side have contributed 3.33 per game and are conceding 2.67. Both teams have scored in five of their six matches at the Racecourse Ground.
Salford won 4-2 at home last weekend, but their away matches have also seen plenty of goals. Neil Wood’s team are scoring 1.67 and conceding 1.5 across their six games on the road thus far.
- Selection: Both Teams To Score & Over 2.5 Goals
- Best Odds: 1.95
