After last week’s Early Bird acca was a roaring success, we’re back with three more picks for this weekend.

The international break means we are again heading further down the league pyramid. Fylde takes on Aldershot in the National League, and it promised to be a goal-laden affair. Wrexham take on a struggling Doncaster. There is also the small matter of a table-topping clash in League Two.

Wrexham vs Doncaster: Wrexham To Star in Another Blockbuster

England, League Two, Saturday, September 9th, 15:00 (UK)

Wrexham made headlines when they finally returned to the Football League last season. Their famous owners have helped them grab the headlines, but it’s time for the football to do the talking once again. They are unbeaten since their 5-3 defeat against MK Dons and now sit 13th after six matches.

Doncaster sit dead last in League Two. They showed great spirit as Everton knocked them out of the League Cup. They also had to battle hard for their point against Swindon after being reduced to 10 men before halftime.

Wrexham’s games this season have seen plenty of goals. Phil Parkinson’s sides’ matches are averaging 4.83 goals per game this season, the most in the division. The Welsh side have contributed with an average of 2.5 goals per game, but there are certainly some issues in defence. Their 1-0 win over Tranmere last weekend was the first time that both teams hadn’t scored across their six league matches.

Doncaster’s start to the campaign is worrisome, but there were signs of improvement last weekend. Grant McCann’s side scored in their last away game against Milton Keynes.

Fylde vs Aldershot: Lacklustre Defending in the Limelight

England, League Two, Saturday, September 9th, 15:00 (UK)

After success in non-league football in this piece last weekend, we are heading there once again. This time, it is Fylde who are in action as they take on Aldershot. After seven matches, Adam Muray’s men are in the relegation zone, having won just once in the National League. Fylde won the National League North with a total of 95 points last season. Avoiding relegation would make this a good campaign for The Coasters.

Aldershot are currently two points above Fylde/ They finished five points above the drop zone last season. The early signs are that this season could be another slog for The Shots.

The lack of goals hasn’t been a problem for Fylde. They have scored in all of their matches so far with an average of 1.86 per game. Nick Haughton has remained a threat in this division, but Fylde’s defence have endured a tough time. They are yet to keep a clean sheet and are conceding 2.7 goals per game on average.

Aldershot have defensive woes of their own. They are conceding 2.57 goals per game this season. However, Tommy Widdrington’s side have been a significant threat going forward. They’ve scored in five of their seven matches at a rate of 1.86 goals per game.

  • Selection: Both Teams To Score & Over 2.5 Goals
  • Best Odds: 1.83

Milton Keynes Dons vs Notts County: Strictly Business For the Dons

England, League Two, Saturday, September 9th, 15:00 (UK)

MK Dons were relegated from League One on the final day of last season. They are amongst the favourites for promotion in League Two and have made a promising start. Graham Alexander’s side have played some good attacking football and are second in the table at this stage. They host the league leaders on Saturday.

Notts County are one point above MK Dons with an identical goal difference. They’re unbeaten in their last five matches, winning their previous three. Despite their fine run of form, their defence has looked far from solid.

Both teams have scored in five MK Dons’ six league matches so far this season. Overall, their games are averaging four goals per game. The Dons have scored marginally more than their opponents, contributing with an average of 2.17 goals per match. This bet has landed in 83% of their games.

This bet has also landed in five of Notts County’s matches. The table toppers average two goals per game, while their opponents have scored 1.67. There have been three goals or more with both teams finding the net in the last three meetings between the sides.

  • Selection: Both Teams To Score & Over 2.5 Goals
  • Best Odds: 1.90
