Best Weekend Prop Bets: Saturday, June 3rd

We have our six best props bets for the final day of the season in Ligue 1. The Premier League may have finished but a couple of of Europe’s major leagues are yet to round off proceedings.

The title may be wrapped up but there is still an intriguing battle between Monaco, Rennes and Lille for European football. Nantes are also looking to climb out of the relegation zone.

Nantes vs Angers Preview

Saturday, June 3rd, 20:00 (UK)

Nantes are the only side in the relegation zone who have the opportunity to escape. However, they haven’t won in the league since the 12th of February. That’s a run of 14 matches. Over this period they are scoring less than a goal a game but they should roll the dice on Saturday.

Angers have already been condemned to Ligue 2. They are rock bottom of the league with a goal difference of -47. They managed to beat Troyes in their last match so their players aren’t quite on the beach just yet and they will be keen to send Nantes down with them on the final day.

Nantes vs Angers Best Bet

Shots are on the agenda for this one. Nantes need to win to have any hope so expect them to pepper Yahia Fofana’s goal with attempts. They are averaging 13.11 shots per home game this season but the dire situation means they should have more. They managed 18 shots the last time they faced Angers. They had 24 the last time they played them at this ground.

Angers have had fewer shots than their opponents in their last 10 away matches. They are conceding 13.22 shots per away game this season but they will be under to cosh for most of the 90 minutes as Nantes seek to avoid relegation.

  • Selection: Over 16.5 Shots For Nantes
  • Best Odds: 1.89  (Unibet)
  • Stakes: 6/10

PSG vs Clermont Foot Preview

Saturday, June 3rd, 20:00 (UK)

Christophe Galtier has confirmed this will be Lionel Messi’s final match as a PSG player. Mess. The Parisiens have won the league yet again but they have failed to live up to expectations in the Champions League. These shortcomings have infuriated the supporters who perceive it as a lack of effort from some of their big names.

Clermont Foot have had a tremendous campaign. They are 8th in Ligue. The team will be thrilled with how they have performed having narrowly avoided relegation last season. However, they have been hammered by PSG in their last three meetings. Conceding 15 and scoring just one across those matches.

PSG vs Clermont Foot Best Bet

PSG have a number of technically gifted players that are adept at forcing fouls. Their style of play hasn’t lent itself well to winning free kicks this season but the likes of Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe are destined to be kicked at some stage. There were 26 fouls when they played Clermont earlier this season.

Clermont Foot’s matches have seen an average of 27.43 fouls per game this season; the 2nd most in the division. They are the most fouled team in the league by quite a stretch, with their opponents averaging 16.22 per game.

  • Selection: Over 22.5 Fouls In The Match
  • Best Odds: 2.05 (Unibet)
  • Stakes: 6/10

Reims vs Montpellier Preview

Saturday, June 3rd, 20:00 (UK)

Reims and Will Still grabbed a lot of the sensationalist headlines when the team enjoyed a 17 game unbeaten run when the manager joined the club. They have since been on a torrid run of form with just two wins in their last 10 matches. The team are now in 11th and will finish just one place above where they ended last season.

Montpellier are one place behind Reims but the four point disadvantage means they are unable to overtake Saturday’s opponents with wins. Their form has been patchy to say the least.  Michel Der Zakarian’s team put a good run together between February and March but that was their best run of the season by some distance.

Reims vs Montpellier Best Bet

Reims have committed 13.27 fouls per game in the league this season. Only three teams in Ligue 1 have made more this season. The reverse fixture between these sides finished with 30 fouls evenly split.

Montpellier are the 2nd most fouled team in in the league this season with their opponents are averaging 14.46 per game across their 37 league matches. This drops to 13.68 in their away matches but that is still above the required mark for this bet to land.

  • Selection: Over 12.5 Fouls For Reims
  • Best Odds: 1.84 (Unibet)
  • Stakes: 7/10

Troyes vs Lille Preview

Saturday, June 3rd, 20:00 (UK)

Lille are currently in 4th; needing a win to guarantee they finish the season in that spot. In Ligue 1, 4th place sends a team directly into the Europa League group stages. 5th place with go into the Europa Conference League. Lille have won their last two matches and will be looking to make it three in a row.

Troyes have already been relegated having picked up just 23 points in the whole of the campaign. They haven’t won in their last 20 matches in Ligue 1. Patrick Kisnorbo’s men have picked up just five points over that period.

Troyes vs Lille Best Bet

It’s another fouls angle for this match as Troyes look to end their miserable run and salvage some pride. The team are averaging 10.62 fouls per game this season but the recent numbers against Lille have been extremely high.

Lille are the 2nd most fouled away side in the league this season with their opponents averaging 13.89 fouls per game despite having home advantage. PSG are the only side who have made fewer than 11 fouls in Lille’s last 10 away matches. The home side are having 14.6 fouls per game on this run.

  • Selection: Over 10.5 Fouls For Troyes
  • Best Odds: 1.67 (Unibet)
  • Stakes: 7/10

Monaco vs Toulouse Preview

Saturday, June 3rd, 20:00 (UK)

Monaco are behind Rennes, who occupy the final European qualification spot, on only goal difference. The 16-goal margin is far too great to overcome but they will want to take all three points in this one to ensure they are able to take advantage of any slip-ups from the two teams above them. However, their only win in their last six matches has come against Angers.

Toulouse are 13th and have nothing to play for on the final day. They have drawn their last four matches in the league. Three of those matches ended 0-0 so don’t expect a classic on Saturday.

Monaco vs Toulouse Best Bet

Offsides are a good bet in this one with Monaco averaging 2.16 per game; the 2nd most in Ligue 1. Wissam Ben Yedder leads the line for Monaco and he features highly on the most offside list this season. He is averaging one per 90 minutes across all competitions this season. Monaco’s matches overall are seeing 3.49 offsides per game.

Toulouse are just behind Monaco in this regard. They are averaging 1.97 offsides per game with their matches seeing an average of three. There were four offsides when these teams met earlier this season.

  • Selection: Over 2.5 Offsides In The Match
  • Best Odds: 1.73  (Unibet)
  • Stakes: 8/10

Auxerre vs Lens Preview

Saturday, June 3rd, 20:00 (UK)

Auxerre are still threatened with relegation. They had a run of three straight victories in April that lifted them out of the bottom three. However, they are now on a run of six matches without a win. If Nantes win they will need to take all three points from this one.

Lens are the team that have pushed PSG hardest this season. They are just four points behind Galtier’s team going into the final game. They have a much smaller budget than their rivals but boast the best defensive record in the French top flight.

Auxerre vs Lens Best Bet

This is a huge game for Auxerre but they are unlikely come flying out of the blocks. They are vastly inferior to Lens. Auxerre are averaging 11.14 shots per game this season. They managed just six shots when they were beaten by Lens earlier in the season. The last time Auxerre welcomed Lens to this ground, they had just seven shots.

Lens have conceded the fewest goals in the league and they have conceded the 3rd fewest shots. Their opponents are having 10.14 shots per game on average.  Franck Haise’s side are more than capable of restricting a poor Auxerre team here.

  • Selection: Under 12.5 Shots For Auxerre
  • Best Odds: 1.88 (Unibet)
  • Stakes: 7/10
