A play-in spot battle! A game between the 9th and 10th seeds in the Western Conference. Both teams struggled with injuries throughout the season, but they are finally healthy and ready to make a playoff push!
They played one against another 2 days ago, and the Wizards won quite easily. They led the entire game and won by double digits.
The game was exciting because the scoring leaders from both teams were “shut down” (Beal had 15 pts, Siakam 13 pts), but the “third and fourth” scoring options stood up, as Poeltl and Anunoby combined for 49 points, and on the other side, Kuzma scored 30.

The Raptors and Nick Nurse are known for going hard on opposing best players, as they always try to limit their scoring, but by doing it, they often allow role players to stand up and have way above-average performances. Also, when Porzingis tried to contest those threes, OG was too quick for him on the drives, so he had one of the best-scoring games of the season. The final part of the bet is Poeltl rebounds. Wizards allow 3rd most rebounds to the opposing C, and Poeltl had 14 rebounds in that last game vs. the Wizards.
Also, over the last 6 games, centers vs Wizards: Capela had 15 rebounds, Vucevic had 13, M. Robinson with 12, Gobert 19, Eubanks 11, and Looney 13, every single one going well above their season average.
