Serbia vs China Bet Builder Tips: Serbia to Dominate
Serbia -17.5
Serbia already played against China in the preparation games and they won by 23 points. China’s offense was limited, scoring only 64 points. It is something that should happen again, as Serbia’s best defender is Milutinov, who plays at the center position, while China mostly plays through their bigs.
China’s defence also isn’t good, they lack athleticism and will get beaten off the dribble easily. Serbia should win without a problem. While Aleksandar Djordjevic knows most of the Serbian squad, China just doesn’t have personnel that can cause problems for Serbia.
When we look at China’s preparation games, they lost to Serbia by 23, to Germany by 49 points, and to Italy by 18 points. In all three games, they struggled with offence and that should be the case now in the tournament, as Serbia should play more intensely than in the preparation games.
Bogdan Bogdanović 3+ Three Pointers
He is the main scoring force of this Serbian team and doesn’t need too much space to get his shot off. He was the leading scorer against China in the preparations with 19 points.
In the last FIBA World Cup, Bogdan averaged 4,4 three-pointers made per game, and Serbia had more high-usage guys back then (Nikola Jokic and Nemanja Bjelica still played and had a role). In 6 out of 8 games, Bogdan had 3 or more three-pointers.
China’s perimeter defence is weak, their centres also aren’t strong enough to guard Milutinov 1v1, so we will see doubling and helping inside which will open up the perimeter even more.
Bogdan should have high usage just like in the last World Cup, and threes are his speciality, so we should see him passing this milestone with ease. Back Bogdanovic to drain 3 or more threes.
