NCAA Basketball Saturday Best Bets: A Pair Of Early Matches
NCAA Basketball Saturday Best Bets: Saturday, February 11th
Our resident hoops pundit Ej Garr has picked out a pair of the early games for Saturday to highlight and preview. It looks like he’s picked out an Atlantic-10 affair to go along with a Big 12 Conference match which is among the first games to be played on Saturday. There are only three weekends left in the regular season, and then it is on to the Conference Tournaments which means the Madness is around the corner.
After splitting his two offers that were posted on Thursday, Ej has intentions of going 2 – 0 on Saturday with one underdog and small favourite making the grade.

Duquesne Dukes vs St. Bonaventure Bonnies Preview
February 11, 17:30 (UK time)
This is one of the earliest games to start the day, so be sure not to wait to get these 7 points and put them in your pocket. I cannot believe we are getting a touchdown, or wait, sorry, the Super Bowl is this weekend so I got confused for a second, HA!
The Bonnies are getting +7 against Duquesne and I am not seeing what the line setters are trying to tell everyone. A line like this means the Dukes need to win by almost double-digits or so, and I am not buying that they can do that.
The Bonnies own Duquesne in the series! I mean total domination of the Dukes to the tune of 14 – 1 the last 15 times they’ve met. St. Bonaventure was won 6 straight in the series and they handled the Dukes a 65 – 56 loss back in January on the Bonnies court.
Stuff like that sticks with me, and I remember when I looked into the first meeting that the Bonnies had dominated this series and they were getting +10. They told Duquesne where to stick all 10 of those points, didn’t they? HA!
Because of that, I am going to do something you don’t normally see me doing with this match.
Unibet is offering 3.40 odds on the Moneyline with the Bonnies, and as you know I always leave 4 out of 10 for my unit structure.
Instead of putting all four of those units on the +7, I am taking one of those units and making a play on the Bonnies to win outright. Don’t tell me that St. Bonaventure can’t beat Duquesne, because from what I see they have been doing it forever.
So, notice below that I will put a bonus tip of 1U on the Bonnies ML to go with 3U on the Bonnies to cover the handicap. With that kind of value, as long as the Bonnies cover the line we still come out ahead, and if they win, well, all the better.
Duquesne Dukes vs St. Bonaventure Bonnies Best Bet
Bonnies win this game 68 – 66 on the final shot of the game, and we cash two tickets after it happens. Play it accordingly.
- Selection: St. Bonaventure +7
- Best odds: 1.91 (Bet365)
- Stakes: 3/10
- Bonus Tip: 1U Bonnies ML at 3.40

Oklahoma Sooners vs Kansas Jayhawks Preview

How many Kansas games have I covered here at Bettingexpert? I would say about 8, and I know that I have missed only 1 tip from those 8 offers when it pertains to the Kansas Jayhawks. Feel free to look through my profile and correct me if I am wrong because I don’t think I missed my first 6 tips involving Kansas games here on the site.
Well, it is time to help with their mojo because Kansas has struggled lately to find consistency although they have still managed only to lose 5 games the entire campaign. It is not easy to navigate the Big 12 Conference schedule this season with so many sound programs night in and night out.
Iowa State is playing great hoops and they are only holding on to the 5th spot in the Big 12 Conference table at 7 – 4 and 16 – 7 overall. Texas is holding onto the top spot at the moment but at 8 – 3, they have four teams, including Iowa State and Kansas, right on their tail at 7 – 4.
TCU and Oklahoma State are holding on with a 6 – 5 conference record, and all 6 of these programs are expected to be in the big tournament in March. That is a lot of talented basketball programs, and Kansas has to rebound from their loss to Texas last time on the floor. Of course, I watched every second of that game because that is a Big 12 showcase game if there is one to find. Texas lit up the Kansas defense for 88 points in an 8-point win over the Jayhawks, and it almost looked as if Bill Self just accepted the loss and took it on the chin.
If you know Bill Self, he doesn’t usually seem so reserved in a game he wants to win in a big spot, and he is as intense as any coach in any sport, much less around the landscape of college hoops Having lost their last game, I guarantee that Coach self is going to use that loss as a motivating tool to plow forward against a 2 – 9 Oklahoma team in Big 12 play and only worry about this game right now.
The Sooners have struggled against Kansas for years, as they are 1 – 7 against the Jayhawks the last 8 times they’ve met. Kansas has already won the first meeting between them on January 10 back in Lawrence, 79 – 75.
Oklahoma Sooners vs Kansas Jayhawks Best Bet
I expect Kansas to come out punching to put Oklahoma away early, and if they don’t do that I wouldn’t want to be a player on the Jayhawks bench. I expect full effort from Kansas to make sure this game is no contest because there is no reason to struggle with the Sooners even on the road.
- Selection: Kansas -3
- Best odds: 1.91 (Pinnacle)
- Stakes: 4/10
