Cade Cunningham faces a Portland Trail Blazers team which ranks in the bottom 10 in defence and below league average in rebounding rate. Cunningham averages 11.2 assists and rebounds per game for his career, and will be at the controls in a game the Pistons are expecting to win.
In his four games so far this season, Cunningham has only gone over this line on two occasions, but part of that can be attributed to uncharacteristically low rebounding numbers. Against an inexperienced, unbalanced Portland roster, look for the former first overall pick to take over and set up the Pistons for a big night on the offensive end.
We wouldn’t be surprised if Cunningham hit this over in assists alone.

After missing his first season in the NBA through injury, Chet Holmgren has immediately lived up to expectations in his rookie year. Holmgren has 11 blocks to his name through four games, albeit only going over this line in two of those.
He’s been instantly impactful on the defensive end, whether disrupting shots or registering blocks. Oklahoma City already had an above-average perimeter defence, and Holmgren’s presence has elevated them further.
The 21-year-old is facing a Pelicans team which is seeing its shots get blocked 5.7 times per game (14th-most among all NBA teams). After four blocks in just 24 minutes against the Pistons, we love the value on Holmgren’s over here.
HOUSTON ROCKETS VS CHARLOTTE HORNETS

Charlotte plays at the second-highest pace in the league – look for some inflated box scores from the Rockets on Wednesday night given the extra possessions they will have to put up numbers.
Alperen Sengun is the focal point of Houston’s offence even after their veteran additions in the offseason. Only two centres average more potential assists per game than Sengun. He’s averaging 15.7 rebounds and assists per contest this season, and Charlotte ranks league average or worse in assists and rebounds conceded.
These two teams are well-matched, meaning we should see Sengun get into the thirties in minutes. The young Turk is worth backing on the over.
