MILWAUKEE BUCKS VS NEW YORK KNICKS: Barret Makes it Splash
Fri, Nov 03. 23:40 (UK time)
The Milwaukee Bucks’ defence has been the worst in the league so far this season. Removing Jrue Holiday and swapping out Mike Budenholzer for a rookie head coach was always going to have an adverse impact on this defence, but the performances so far have been very rough.
Opponents are shooting an unsustainably high 41% from three against Milwaukee, but there’s also been a change to their shot profile conceded from last season. Only five teams allowed threes at a lower rate than the Bucks in 2022-23. They are down in 20th by that metric this season.
One player set to benefit on Friday is RJ Barrett. The Canadian wing has shot the ball well from deep thus far, and has got up at least five attempts in every game. He’s gone over this line in three of his four appearances.
CHICAGO BULLS VS BROOKLYN NETS: Simmons Sets the Table
Sat, Nov 04. 00:10 (UK time)
Facing a Bulls team which ranks 27th in net rating, the Brooklyn Nets will surely fancy their chances on the road. Brooklyn has covered in all four of their games this season, and can take plenty of positives from what they’ve seen from Ben Simmons.
While still wary of getting fouled and limited as a scorer, Simmons has been impactful as a defender, playmaker and rebounder. The former first overall pick has clocked double-digit rebounds in all four games, and averages a combined 17.8 rebounds and assists per contest.
He has gone over this line in three of his four games. This Bulls team is slightly below average when it comes to rebounding the ball, and Brooklyn should be able to put up points. We think Simmons should pass this line with ease.
- Selection: Ben Simmons over 16.5 assists and rebounds
- Best Odds: 1.87
- Bookmaker: Bet365
- Stakes: 7/10
MIAMI HEAT VS WASHINGTON WIZARDS: Herro Takes Advantage from Downtown
Sat, Nov 04. 00:10 (UK time)
Only two teams give up threes at a higher rate than the Wizards. Opponents are shooting 40% from downtown against Washington.
Just eight players are getting up more shots per game from beyond the arc than Tyler Herro. Of those eight players, Lauri Markkanen and Steph Curry are the only players making a higher percentage of long-range attempts than Herro.
He has also reached double-digit three-point attempts in three of the last four games, including a scorching six-for-10 effort against Brooklyn last time out.
Having passed this line in 60% of his games, and facing a woeful Washington defence, we love the value on the over here to wrap up Friday’s player prop parlay.
