ORLANDO MAGIC VS DALLAS MAVERICKS: Magic Keep Rolling

The Orlando Magic have got off to a 4-2 start after playing .500 ball following Markelle Fultz’s return last season. This young core is going to be in the mix for a Playoff spot – they are rightly favoured over the Mavericks, who are on the second night of a back-to-back following a thrilling win over the Hornets on Sunday.
Yes, Dallas has started on a 5-1 run. Yes, Luka Doncic is playing like an MVP. Yet, Kyrie Irving has already missed time and is averaging under 20 points per game. These Mavs are playing a third game in four nights, while Orlando was able to put up their feet up on Sunday.
There isn’t a great amount to choose between these teams by net rating or shot quality – we are looking at this as a schedule loss for the Mavericks.
BROOKLYN NETS VS MILWAUKEE BUCKS: Don’t Say Defence

There has been an average of 232.3 points in Brooklyn’s games so far this season. That number is a shade higher at 232.8 for the Milwaukee Bucks. Both rank above league average in pace, and their defences have struggled in the early going.
They are two of the top 11 offensive teams. On the defensive side of the ball, Milwaukee’s perimeter has been frequently exposed and they are 24th in shot quality allowed. Brooklyn has good defensive personnel, but their numbers are not especially pretty. The Bulls and Heat are the only teams they have kept below 110.
Milwaukee has cashed the over in three of their first four. For Brooklyn, it’s four of their first six. We think this line is a few points too low.
CHICAGO BULLS VS UTAH JAZZ: Dogs Keep it Close

Chicago has covered the spread in just one of their first seven games. Players-only meetings and poor performances reflect a team heading towards another rebuild – the Bulls are just 2-5 straight-up after losses to the Nets and Nuggets at the weekend. This is their third game in four nights.
Utah is also 2-5 and lost heavily to the Timberwolves last time out. This is the second contest of a four-game roadtrip. While the Jazz are perhaps at a talent disadvantage here, the gap is not as big as the reputation of the players involved would suggest.
We think Utah can at least keep this close. If you’re looking for an underdog pick on Monday night, we’d strongly consider the Jazz getting a road win.
