Germany vs Finland Bet Builder Tips: Germany Should Cruise to Another Victory
Germany -3.5 First Half
Germany could be without Franz Wagner, but they managed to win without him against Australia. On the other side, there is Finland, who managed to lose to Japan even though they had an 18-point lead.
While Germany will be 1st in the group no matter what happens, Finland is also without motivation, because the fight for a European Olympic spot will happen in the play-offs. Germany is a much stronger and talented team, and I expect that they will have a nice lead in the first half and then play with bench players.
Finland’s defence is nonexistent, as Japan managed to score 98 points, even with Watanabe not having a good game. Germany had 22 point lead at the half against Japan, and 5 point lead against powerhouse Australia.
Dennis Schroeder 15 points milestone
Schroeder is the main scoring force of Germany, and he is playing great in this tournament. Schroeder averages 22 points (30 vs Australia and 14 vs Japan in the blowout), and he had 15+ points in preparation games without a problem.
Finland’s defence is really bad, and even if Dennis plays fewer minutes, he should drive with ease and create his attempts at the rim. Finland’s rim protection is bad, help defence is late. Also, Finland plays drop defence in the pick and roll, so Schroeder should have easy pull-up jump shots.
Dennis 5+ assists
He is not only scoring but also creating. Dennis averages 6.5 assists – he had 5 vs Japan and 8 against Australia. If Finland helps, it is done really badly and opens up drive-and-kick opportunities. Japanese point guard Yuki Kawamura had 9 assists.
Schroeder plays with the ball in his hands a lot and is the main point guard of Germany. He is much more athletic than Finnish guards, so there shouldn’t be a problem for Dennis to get into the paint and kick it out to a good shooter.
