France vs Iran Stats and Facts

  • France plays a game without any meaning, as they are already qualified for the Olympic Games. Last game against Lebanon, Gobert, Lessort, and Fall didn’t play.
  • France struggled against Lebanon, they probably won’t play with intensity today.
  • France and Iran played in the last Olympic games, France won 79-62.

France vs Iran Bet Builder Tips: Who will even play from France?

Hamed Haddadi over 7.5 points

As I already wrote, this game has no meaning for France. So the question is, who will even play from them? Gobert, Lessort, and Fall missed the game against Lebanon, so they are candidates who will miss this one too. Gobert earns too much in the NBA to risk injury in a meaningful game, and Lessort went to this World Cup with injury problems.

On the other hand, after winning the first quarter against Spain, Iran will surely be motivated to give their best. Their most experienced player, Hamed Haddadi had a scoring output in the last game he played against France in the Olympic games.

He scored 18 points with 7/9 on the free throw line. He is older now, so the line is lower but he still is a smart player that can score.

Haddadi went 2/3 in the 1st phase, scoring 10 against Brazil, 9 against Ivory Coast, and 7 against Spain (there were double teams, he had 7 assists). Against unmotivated France, he should score at least 8 points.

Guerschon Yabusele 10+ points

Without Fall, Gobert, and Lessort, France’s frontcourt is much thinner. Yabusele will probably have minutes on both power forward and centre positions, just like against Lebanon.

He played 30 minutes that game and scored 18 points, the same number he had against Latvia in 5 fewer minutes. He could have fewer minutes today, but Iran’s defence shouldn’t be a problem for him: he will have a huge size mismatch.

France under 93.5 points

France went under this line in all three games they played. Iran surely will look to make the pace as slow as possible to mitigate athletic differences.

Also, Evan Fournier shouldn’t play in the second half. France scored just 85 points against Lebanon, and Iran shouldn’t be much weaker than the Lebanese squad. France will play relaxed, so this line seems too high and they should stay under.
