Well, you know I am not happy about seeing the Brewers go flat on Tuesday night, so I am moving to the inter-league battle between the Nats and As on hump day. Just after midnight in the UK, Nationals Park will feature two starting pitchers that will give us a golden opportunity to cash a ticket on the total.
That’s right, you guessed it, I am loving this 8.5 total to topple the number, and we have a few reasons to be convinced as to why the runs will come our way,
First of all, these two bashing offenses… Wait, let’s not get out of control now, Ej. I know, right.
First of all, the 10 – 6 game on Tuesday produced 24 hits and I think they just scored again this morning when we woke up to continue the madness. We all know that these two offenses have not exactly been among the league leaders in 2022, so seeing it now just means we have to hope it carries over into today. Baseball is indeed a sport where things come in bunches, for the good and the bad, and right now the good is hitting the ball and scoring runs!
Now, it’s time to talk starting pitching, and oh boy, this might just about finish convincing you of what the play should be here tonight. I am seeing James Kaprielan (3 – 9; 4.88 ERA) being matched up with Anibal Sanchez (0 – 5; 5.72 ERA) so if that ends up being who takes the mound I can’t even believe we see 8.5 showing on this total. I think we’ll have to switch this best bet to the 1st 5 inning total now that I just slid down to check the line. I see a 4.5 and 1.95 being offered for the 1st 5 inning total and that is the gem of the day right there. Will this be a 3 – 2 affair headed to the 6th inning is the only question we need to answer, and Ej votes Yes!
Will Anibal Sanchez give up a home run tonight? Wait, do you mean just one or can I have the 2 homers or more options for $300? The fact that he didn’t allow one his last start means he is way overdue to get lit up again. I mean it’s been how many innings in between balls being sent over the wall?
Now, you know I caught his last start against the Yankees, and um, well, let’s just say it didn’t exactly go well for James Kaprielian. When you give up 8 earned runs walking 6 guys while allowing 7 hits, the outs seem to come few and far between. Kaprielian was yanked before the end of the 3rd inning and now he is hoping that the Nats don’t end up lighting him up next.

Don’t light a match near the mound on Wednesday night, because both of these pitchers might just burst into flame from all of the flat gas they hurl toward home plate. Again, 3 – 2 after 5 innings is all I am asking for to put us at 2 – 1 for the week.
