Toronto Blue Jays vs St. Louis Cardinals Run Total Best Bet: Blue Jays’ Bats On Fire
Toronto Blue Jays vs St. Louis Cardinals Run Total Best Bet: Wednesday, July 27th
Despite almost calling the exact score of the Mets-Yankees game last night, our resident MLB guru did end up missing his 1st inning offer. So, it’s back to the drawing board and we’re headed north of the border for the Wednesday MLB best bet of the day. The Jays and Cards will make it hump day special so expect some scoring to take place in Canada on Wednesday night!

Toronto Blue Jays vs St. Louis Cardinals Preview
Well, I enjoyed myself last night for those wondering how my night was at the game, but I did miss my 1st inning prediction despite calling for the Mets to win on Tuesday night. Hey now, I said it would be 5 – 4 Mets and it was 6 – 3 Mets so I made my call but blew the 1st inning prediction. Humbly, I will apologize because I hate being wrong and I am not a fan of missing my suggested bets for folks either.
As I was going over all of the lines for Hump Day I saw this total at a straight 8 and all I could think was why? The Jays broke out for 10 more runs last night and if any team is hitting the ball well right now it is certainly Toronto. Let’s not even start with the 28-run outburst the other night, right?
The Jays’ 10 – 3 win on Tuesday night over the Cards extended their win streak to 7 games and their bats have been en fuego Toronto is averaging an astounding 9.7 runs per game over their last 7 outings and now we get to talk about the two dudes that are likely to start this game on the bump.
We have Adam Wainwright (6 – 9; 3.40 ERA) and Kevin Gausman (7 – 7; 3.00 ERA) as the expected starters for this game and what have you seen lately that would make the line setters put an 8 on the total? The last time Wainwright took a mound he got destroyed by the Reds giving up 2 home runs and 7 earned runs. Wainwright has now lost 3 of his last 4 starts with a no-decision in the mix so I am pleased as punch I get to rebound with a low total in Toronto tonight.
It wasn’t just the Reds who have gotten to Wainwright lately because he has been taken deep twice in 3 of his last 4 starts and last I checked when you give up 6 home runs in 3 games the odds go way down in hopes of finding a win.
Kevin Gausman got a crack at the Red Sox last time he was on the bump and that was the night the Jays broke out the 28 runs against Boston. I still can’t believe that score was just going from 5, to 10, to 15, to 21, like okay guys, seriously? Are you just going to embarrass Boston now? They certainly did that and then some and Toronto was even money that night too!
Gausman is a gas can and anyone who thinks otherwise really needs to learn how to read numbers. This dude had one decent campaign last year and the rest of his career has been terrible. My
editors told me I can’t curse so um, he stinks and I have zero faith in Kevin Gausman and Adam Wainwright to maintain a low-scoring pitching duel on Wednesday night.
The Jays are ridiculously favoured and there is a good chance they might put up another double-digit effort tonight and we only need 8 runs between both teams? Yeah, thanks! We’re done here!
Toronto Blue Jays vs St. Louis Cardinals Best Bet
Stop it with Gausman and Wainwright on the same mound, in the same game, and the line setters twerked out an 8 for a total, we are on it like white on rice and we will hopefully have this ticket cashed before we get halfway through the game.
