Toronto Blue Jays vs NY Yankees Run Total Best Bet: Monday, September 26th
The American League Eastern Division title can be clinched by the New York Yankees on Monday with a win over the Blue Jays in Toronto. Our resident baseball expert Ej Garr is the best source for everything Yankees related, and he lit up the winner circle last week with a 4 – 1 record for our readers to enjoy.

Oh, and don’t leave off my 2 – 0 NCAA football record for Saturday, please!
I had to throw that in too, I mean this dude is 6 – 1 with his last 7 posted offers here on the site, so I am okay with mentioning it. So, let’s start the week off in Toronto where the Blue Jays and Yankees are starting a big series within the AL East division.
The Yankees will now end the 2022 campaign with a 13 – 6 record vs Boston due to winning the last 6 games of that series. The Sunday night game was called after a 1:38 rain delay as the 7th inning was about to begin which gave the Yanks a 4-game sweep against their rivals. Nestor Cortes pitched all 6 innings in what ended up being a 2 – 0 win for the Yankees which gives them a 7-game win streak overall, and their longest such run since June 9th – 18th. The Judge ended the game 1 for 2 with a double and a walk and he was due up in the bottom of the 7th playing in the DH spot, as we all still wait for #61 to happen for him.
The Yankees boast a 56 – 22 home record, which is the best in the American League, but the Jays are still in the hunt to win the AL East title. Toronto is 43 – 32 at home, and let’s just put the cards on the table. If the Jays don’t win tonight, the Yanks clinch the AL East title, so there is no need to think about anything other than one game tonight. The Yankees being in town for 3 games is great, but if the Jays lose tonight they are solely in the hunt for a wild card spot.
Kevin Gausman (12 – 10; 3.32 ERA) is being asked to keep the Jays in the race for the division title, as he is expected to go up against Luis Severino (6 – 3; 3.36 ERA). Severino is making only his second start since July 13, and he had the luxury of facing the Pirates in his last start to prepare for the final stretch of the regular season.
Severino is trying to add his name to the playoff rotation with Cole and Cortes, as he and Taillon are both hoping to get in some big games in the postseason.
Both of these offenses can turn on the power, and I am counting on that fact tonight. There is no ultimate pressure for the Yanks to win one game with so many left to play, so it’s not a proverbial ‘do or die’ result for them. The Yankees can win any of these 3 games or any game left on the schedule to clinch the division, so it should be just a matter of when and not if.
Jameson Taillon (13 – 5; 3.90 ERA) and Jose Berrios (11 – 6; 5.27 ERA) are the expected starters for game 2 of the series, while Gerrit Cole (12 – 7; 3.49 ERA) is the probable Wednesday starter against Mitch White (1 – 6; 5.12 ERA). That should give us plenty of offence over the next three days and I suspect it will start tonight. I am suggesting that you fancy a play on this total to go over the number, which will start our week in fashion picking up right where we left off last week.
Toronto Blue Jays vs New York Yankees Best Bet
I don’t trust Severino to have enough chips to shut down the Jays’ offence, and the Yankees are hitting the ball as a team right now. Don’t let the dreary 2 – 0 score through 6-innings result last night change how you see this game playing out. There will be runs, and we will benefit from them with cash in our pockets!
