Toronto Blue Jays vs Baltimore Orioles Bet Builder Tip: Wednesday, August 3rd

The Baltimore Orioles helped Ej get his revenge indeed on Tuesday night, as he called for an Orioles win which they did convincingly. After splashing a 3.50 bet builder last night, Ej is heading back to Canada, where he expects another overwhelming victory for the away side on Wednesday night.

With a 3.65 bet builder for Hump Day, let’s take that ground ball to third base and go around the horn turning a double play of our own.

Baltimore Orioles Moneyline

The Baltimore Orioles pounded out 13 runs on Tuesday night, and our bankroll is sure glad for it! We splashed the 3.50 winner riding the Orioles’ success last night, and I see no reason why we should shy away from a similar expectation on Wednesday night.

All but one starter in the Orioles lineup picked up a hit on Tuesday night, as the Orioles spoiled the season debut of Hyun Jin Ryu. Ryu did exactly what I predicted he would do on Tuesday night, hurling 5+ innings while being pulled from the game after only 80 pitches. I think it was no mystery to anyone that the Jays were not going to stretch Ryu too far in his first start of the season after battling back from Tommy John surgery.

Regardless, the Orioles jumped on Ryu early, and before there were three outs in the game, the Birds had already put a 2-spot on the board in the first inning. The game was deadlocked at 3-3 until Ryu started the 6th inning allowing a home run to Gunnar Henderson. Ryu was yanked, and the Jays got out of the 6th inning down 4-3, but then the Orioles just kept pouring the offense on!

Baltimore scored three runs in the 7th inning, and an Anthony Santander Grand Slam in the 8th inning all but put the game away; the Orioles added insult to injury by tacking on another pair of runs in the top of the 9th inning, and that is what we call momentum my friends!

Baltimore has had the Blue Jays’ number all season long, and Tuesday night’s win gives the Birds a 7-1 lead in the season series with Toronto.

Grayson Rodriguez and Yusei Kikuchi are listed as the probable starting pitchers for this contest, and he has been a road warrior lately. As you see above in the trends section, Rodriguez has won his last five starts on the road, and he has an Orioles offense that is in a groove to support his cause on Wednesday night.

I am amazed the Jays are listed as slight favourites for this game, as they were on Tuesday night. Bo Bichette is questionable to play after missing Tuesday night’s game with a knee injury, and the talk around ESPN all day was what Toronto would do about bringing in a short stop at the Trade Deadline in case his injury lingers longer than expected. It didn’t happen, so hopefully, for the Jays’ fans and their season, he will be back in short order. I do not expect him to be in the lineup tonight, and this is a very important series in the AL East Division.

Toronto Blue Jays vs Baltimore Orioles Game Total Over 8.5 Runs

The absence of Bichette doesn’t help the Jays on the defensive end of the field as much as it hurts losing his bat at the top of the order. After seeing how relentless the Orioles were with Toronto on Tuesday night, I think we need to go right back to the well and grab the Orioles’ Moneyline while expecting plenty of runs to cross home plate again.

So, the Over 8.5 and the Orioles to win this contest is your MLB bet builder for Hump Day!
