MLB Baseball Monday Best Bet: Cubs and Buccs At Pnc For Three
Pittsburgh Pirates vs Chicago Cubs Best Bet: Monday, June 19th
The Pittsburgh Pirates will host the Chicago Cubs for a 3-game series that begins on Monday night at PNC Park in Steel City. The Buccs are mired in a 6-game losing skid as they return home to play the team that handed them the first three losses of the recent road trip, the Cubbies. Ej has his eyes on the total, among other things, for this Monday night affair, so let’s take it to the diamond and start the week with gems!

Pittsburgh Pirates vs Chicago Cubs Preview
June 20, 00:05 (UK time)
I missed my previous two best bets, which only means one thing. If you go through my history on this platform, I have yet to suffer three straight defeats with my MLB best bets, and that run is not about to end anytime soon.
That means I need to break out a big winner for Monday as I did last Monday so we can start the week on a positive note. Well, buckle up sunshine because I have so much more than one bet on my mind for this affair you combo-lovers out there should enjoy!
The pitching matchup has me giddy with excitement and the anticipation of runs being scored in droves. That will probably spoil my surprise! This total is going to be in the book before we even get to the 6th inning, and we are going to be cashing our first pair of tickets nice and early on Monday night. Well, it will be starting five minutes after midnight in the UK, so hopefully, if you miss the match you can wake up with more money in your account than you went to bed with!
The Pirates are listing Osvaldo Bido as Monday’s probable starting pitcher, and this will be his first outing at PNC Park. He made his MLB debut against the Cubs last week and now he’s making the start in Game 1 of this 3-game set against the visiting Cubs. His only other big league appearance in his playing career just happened in the recent series these two played in Chicago last week, as the Cubs swept the Pirates out of town. Bido pitched well for making his MLB debut on June 14 in the hostile territory of Chicago, as he tossed four innings and only gave up a single earned run with six Ks along three BBs. The 10 – 6 final score certainly was no fault of his, but Monday will mark only his second career start, and he has to see the same team he just faced, which will be a challenge. Bido needed 91 pitches to only get through 4 innings, but he did manage to get himself out of any trouble he created to limit the Cubs to one run.
As impressive as that is, I don’t think this start will go as smoothly, and that walk count has my eyes on another prop you know I offer often. If I see a total of 2.5 Walks Allowed as the prop William Hill offers, and the price is near or better than even money? From my hands to your eyes! That’s the first bonus bet if you read this entire article like you should.
His opponent on the bump listed as the probable starter for the Cubs is Drew Smyly, and this is a rematch! Smyly and Bido both started the June 14th affair, and Smyly handed Bido a 3 – 0 lead before he even took the mound for this first start. The Cubs also scored in the bottom of the first off Bido, but by the time the 4th inning arrive the Pirates were seemingly comfortably in front of Chicago, 5 – 1.
The Cubs outscored the Pirates 9 – 1 over the last 4 innings of the game and despite allowing 3 home runs and 5 earned runs, Smyly earned a win from that start last week because he pitched through the 6th inning.
I see another decent option to add to your card for this match before I hand out my best bet to make. The 1st-inning Over 1 features odds of 2.40 if you are a member at William Hill. The 1st-5 inning over 5 is listed with odds of about even money, as I see 1.96 and 1.95 showing at most major bookmakers as I write this article on Sunday night here in the States. These lines could fluctuate as you see stated below, so I can only hope that is what you see when you wake up on Monday morning across the Atlantic Ocean and beyond.
I think this main total at 9 doesn’t hold enough value for someone who calls himself the Mayor of Value City. At 1.95, that’s not even a return on our full investment, and you know I can’t do that to you!

Inflate the game total to 10, and if you are a Pinnacle user, you see odds of 2.39 instead of the undervalued straight 9 over. The Over 10 runs should happen just as easily as they get to 9, and BetMGM is offering an additional prop that I hope all of you can jump on as well.
