Sometimes we get lucky, and you see a line that makes you think what could stop this from happening that could ruin a good bet, right?
Thor is happening, and Noah Syndergaard hasn’t exactly been a shining light since leaving the Mets as he is now playing for his second organization this season. Now that he’s back in the National League, Syndergaard is in a familiar place having experience pitching in this ballpark but it won’t help him today against the Reds.
If I am being honest, I have been taking that Reds / Pirates Over all weekend and those two have just gone bonkers over the last 3 days. The Reds have scored 19 runs over the last two days and the Phillies just played a game yesterday with 19 runs in it alone. We all know by now that baseball is a sport that when teams are going well, things just fall in their favour. Those kine drives that were outs in April and May are now turning into singles and doubles that are knocking in runs.

Pinnacle is offering 1.90 for the Reds to have 2 lousy runs before the 6th inning starts? Now, there are those moments you just know what the best bet of the day should be, and then I saw that line with these two starting pitchers.
I first thought of the 1st-5 Inning total at 4.5 because that is extremely playable at the same 1.90 offer. Syndergaard (7 – 8: 3.95 ERA) and Luis Cessa (3 – 1; 5.50 ERA) are both going to get lit up early so you have two options for the most part. I am suggesting the Reds Team Total Over 1.5 Runs through 5 innings because this team is hitting the ball and this park is alive when the weather is warm. Philly’s park is as much of a hitter’s park as any in the bigs so I have no problem expecting nearly any total to fly in during the dog days of August.
Give me some humidity and two pitchers that aren’t exactly in form and I will play the Over in Philly today and twice on Saturday. So, you can go FT total, 1st 5 total, or jump on my best bet offer of the Reds to jam two dudes into home plate by the end of the 5th inning.

Cessa can be faded just as easily as Thor, so this will be no pitcher’s duel, to say the least. I expect a 4 – 3 game headed to the 6th, at worst, and that gives those Reds a pair to spare!
