Minnesota Twins vs Boston Red Sox Run Total Best Bet: Five Star North
Minnesota Twins vs Boston Red Sox Run Total Best Bet: Monday, August 29th
Minnesota’s state motto is L’Étoile du Nord, and we’ll be chasing 5 stars heading north toward home plate on Monday when the Twins and Red Sox square off. Our resident baseball expert Ej Garr has an offer on the 5-inning total and five runs will be what we’ll need to shoot for the moon and bring home the cheese.

Call it cheddar or the big cheese, as long as you call it money because we’re headed to Minnesota on Monday night to start the week with a winning tip. There is no need to wait for the entire game to finish to cash this ticket because we’ll be playing the 1st-5 inning total and getting paid early.
First of all, it looks like the rain from Sunday night will clear out and the rest of the week is supposed to be gorgeous as these two open the three-game series on Monday night.
What I like is the humidity will be up a bit from that rain leading into Monday, so I hope by the time the first pitch is thrown we still have a little leftover moisture in the air. We have to be a weatherman to make it rain, you know! Humidity is a big thing for me and totals if you haven’t noticed yet.
So, let’s talk starting pitching, and hold on to your hats boys and girls, and maybe even hide the children to avoid torturing them. The Red Sox are letting Brayan Bello (0 – 3; 7.36 ERA) take a big league mound again, and despite not giving up a homer yet this year that earned run average is certainly a concern for Sox fans.
Bello finally made a start that lasted 5 innings his last time out against Toronto, and his 7 to 1 K to BB ratio was his best effort of the campaign as well. The issue I am having is he hasn’t even pitched a total of 6 innings this month, and the Red Sox are pretty much playing with nothing to lose because the season is about lost. There is no harm in letting Bello get as much big-league opposition as he can before next season. I expect him to give up 9 hits and 3 walks while not being able to pitch his way out of the first sign of early trouble. You know how your gut just tells you what to expect sometimes, and I see Bello folding like a lawn chair helping us get paid early to start the week.
The Twins are sending Dylan Bundy (7 – 6; 4.56 ERA) to the bump, and we know what we can expect from him too. Bundy will be giving the Twins 5 innings, he’ll probably give up a blast as one of the 6 hits he allows, and those 2 runs he gives up by the 3rd inning are also going to help us cash this ticket early.
I predict this to be a 4 – 3 game headed to the 6th inning, and that will have you walking to the proverbial window with a ticket you’ll need to cash. Seeing the Red Sox be completely dismantled by a Rays team yesterday, combined with the fact that the Twins have 4 of their last 5 Overs, I am easily convinced we’ll get support from the bats tonight.

I was thinking about one of the team totals to suggest here, and then I saw this 5 on the 1st-5 inning total at plus money and I jumped on it. We are getting 2.05 on this early total, and I am a big fan of not paying a cent of juice if I can help it.
Again, 4 – 3 Twins is my call as they head to the 6th inning, so play it accordingly if you do like props and such to go with your main play of the day.
