Houston Astros vs Texas Rangers Same Game Parlay: 2.65 Wager for ALCS Game 2
Houston Astros vs Texas Rangers Same Game Parlay, Opta Stats, Player Props
The Houston Astros were favoured to win Game 1 of the ALCS at home on Sunday night, and you’ll never guess what happened? The underdog once again barked like a big pooch, and another upset happened in this year’s MLB post-season as the Rangers earned a 2 – 0 win to open the ALCS.
Betting on the underdogs has been the theme of this year’s playoffs, and that suits Ej’s style to a tee! As anyone and everyone who has seen Ej posts here at bettingexpert, he is constantly putting value plays on the board, and he is doing it for both of the Monday games being played.
Be sure to catch Ej’s NLCS Game 1 predictions for Monday night, as the Phillies and Diamondbacks do battle this week for the right to face one of these two organizations in the World Series..

HOUSTON ASTROS VS TEXAS RANGERS SAME GAME PARLAY: THINKDOG OR LOSE YOUR SHIRT!
TEXAS RANGERS TO TAKE A 2 – 0 ALCS LEAD ON MONDAY NIGHT
Justin Verlander and Jordan Montgomery started Game 1 of this series on Sunday night in Houston, and the both of them pitched extremely well. They pitched so well, that for the first time in this entire MLB post-season, we saw two starting pitchers throw into the 7th inning.
Verlander went 6 ⅔ while Monty lasted 6 ⅓ innings, but Monty left with a 2 – 0 lead when he came out of the game. The Game 2 starting pitching matchup shows Nate Eovaldi for Texas and Framber Valdez for the Astros.
In case you haven’t noticed yet, if you have not been betting on the underdogs in the MLB post-season, you have lost almost every bet you’ve placed and your bankroll has diminished considerably.
This is Houston’s seventh straight appearance in the ALCS, but that does not mean a damn thing to me at all this season. Being favoured has only meant that you are about to lose, and Texas is listed as 2.15 underdogs again tonight. Texas was listed at 2.30 on Sunday night, and I made my sportsbook pay me for it! I thinkdog like you put on socks, and I am not about to shy away from doing it again on Monday afternoon.
Game 2 of this ALCS is the early game today, and the NLCS Game 1 will start afterwards. I am thinking underdog for both of these games today because I like making money and the dogs are where the money has been.
Nate Eovaldi was a part of the 2018 Boston Red Sox staff that won the World Series, so pitching in the post-season won’t intimidate him in the least. Granted, he did not fare too well in 2021 when Boston got trounced out of the playoffs, but now he gets a chance to make up for that with his new team.
These two starting pitchers met on September 5 in the regular season, and I am not worried about that result that got pretty ugly for the Rangers. Houston won the season series with Texas and it propelled them to win their division and what is now home-field advantage in the ALCS. Unfortunately, having home field advantage and being favoured has only meant that the oddsmakers have set you up for failure as they always try to do!
Don’t go broke paying juice for Houston in Game 2, as the line setters are offering a seemingly simple 1.87 for the home team again. Houston was 1.75 favourites on Sunday night, and we know how that went, right? LOSERS!
Don’t be a loser! Texas Moneyline is your play to make for Game 2 of the ALCS, and if you play that by itself you are my kind of people! We like to suggest same-game parlays around here now too, so if you do want to find something to put with the Rangers Moneyline, consider this…
COREY SEAGER TO PICK UP 1+ HIT
I am keeping this simple and only suggesting you put this prop bet in with the Rangers Moneyline. Since no one really had a big night with the bats against Verlander and Montgomery on Sunday night, I am not losing track of what Corey Seager has done in the MLB post-season and he got his hit out of the way last night in the top of the first against Verlander.
Seager to claim a hit and the Rangers Moneyline is needed to cash this same-game combo for Game 2 of the ALCS between Texas and Houston on Monday night. Seager has reached base in 18 of his 29 plate appearances in the post-season, and that is just a remarkable number! I expect him to do more than just grab 1 hit against Valdez.
