Houston Astros vs Boston Red Sox Same-Game Parlay, Stats, Player Props: Thursday, August 24th

With his final MLB article of the week, our resident baseball expert Ej Garr has eyes on the Boston Red Sox vs Houston Astros match-up on Thursday Night. The Red Sox won game 3 of this 4-game series on Wednesday night in dramatic fashion, as a 3-run, 10th-inning blast from Adam Duvall ultimately decided the victor of the game!

With the Astros in a position to take 3 wins from this critical American League battle, Ej expects the home crowd to leave with smiles on their faces! Let’s hit the Lone Star State for the finale of the series between Boston and Houston on Thursday night.

Same-Game Parlay Odds: 4.10

HOUSTON ASTROS VS BOSTON RED SOX Same-Game Parlay: SOX HOPING TO LEVEL SERIES IN HOUSTON

HOUSTON ASTROS EXPECTED TO WIN GAME 4 AGAINST BOSTON

The Astros earned wins on Monday and Tuesday to begin this 4-game series with the Red Sox, and a blown lead on Wednesday now has Boston hoping to level the series while the Astros seek a third win at home.

The line setters seem to agree with me listing the Astros as favourites at about 1.77 or so, depending on when you get to see this article here at Betting Expert this Thursday. I feel as if it makes perfect sense to make this a 3-game same-game combo because I do like more than the Astros to just win this game. Boston is teetering on being in the playoff picture, while the Astros are only a game behind Texas for the lead in the AL Central Division.

Brayan Bello is showing as the expected starting pitcher for Boston, and J.P. France is listed as the probable mound-minder for the Stros at home today. Notice the time of the first pitch being 17:10 UK Time, so this is what we call a day game here in New York. The first four games of the 9-game schedule are all afternoon starts for us over here, so be prepared to get this Thursday Night MLB Bet Builder in early.

J.P. France just had his 7-game win streak snapped in his last outing against Seattle, but it wasn’t because he didn’t pitch well. The Mariners won a low-scoring 2 – 0 affair, but France made two mistakes that left the yard that ended up being the difference.

Not getting any run support was the other difference, obviously, but Bello has been pitching quite well himself recently. I give the edge to France who usually does get a decent amount of run support, and a home crowd in tow for the Astros win on Thursday.

GAME 4 TOTAL TO STAY UNDER 9.5 RUNS

This is another situation where the line setters are increasing the juice, but since we are getting that extra half-run, we can live with it. In a combo/bet builder, as we are doing here, marginal vig won’t bother me nearly as much because I am ultimately ending up with a 4.10 ticket in my pocket.

This game might be 2 – 2 when we get to the 7th inning, and I just hope that extra innings don’t hurt us late. This is a 4 – 3 game waiting to happen as I see it, so I predict a low-scoring game to transpire.

ALEX BREGMAN TO SNAG AT LEAST ONE BASE KNOCK

Alex Bregman has been picking up the pace lately, and it’s helped the Astros stay in the hunt for the AL Central Division title with Texas. Bregman is carrying a 5-game hitting streak into Thursday night’s game, and he has had at least one base knock in 11 of his last 15 games, including seven games with more than 1 hit.

I expect Bregman to support J.P. France tonight, which in turn will give the Astros the win in a low-scoring game. So, that is how the MLB Thursday Night Bet Builder shapes up with the match between Houston Astros and Boston Red Sox.
