Cincinnati Reds vs Texas Rangers Best Bet: Rangers Value on the Road
Cincinnati Reds vs Texas Rangers Best Bet: Monday, April 24th
The 7 – 15 Cincinnati Reds have lost six straight games and are among the worst teams in the National League but they find themselves somehow favoured at home to begin their 3-game series with the Texas Rangers. Our resident baseball expert Ej Garr believes the line setters have totally dropped the ball in this spot, and we are here to take full advantage of it on Monday.

April 24, 23:40 (UK time)
The Reds are favoured at home? Is that a joke or do the line setters think we aren’t going to catch them with their pants down again? We don’t get many Christmas gifts in April but to see the Rangers getting even money to take out the Reds on Monday is a gift!
The Reds have won a total of 7 games this campaign, and they are already 8.5 games back NL Central Division table after barely over 20 games played. Cincinnati suffered its sixth straight defeat on Sunday, and they have scored a total of 6 runs over the poor run of results. Over the last 14 games, the Reds have taken only 3 wins.
I can sit here and point out all of the Reds’ inefficiencies and lack of ability to score, or we can talk pitching and matters don’t get much better. Reds opponents are batting .279 which ranks them 29th in the league, and in comes the #2 ranked Texas offense that is scoring 6.69 runs per game. I am sorry but that spells trouble to me again and I cannot fathom why the line setters are giving us Texas in this spot.
An even money offer of 2.00 is more than fair enough because I was expecting to see more like 1.83 or even worse. The Rangers are 6 – 1 over their last 7 games, and they have taken the last 4 series played so they should be able to take full advantage of the Reds on Monday.
Both teams have to travel here after Sunday games, and the Reds are only in town for 3 games before they again hit the road to head out west to play Oakland and San Diego after this 3-game ser at the Great American Ballpark.
This pitching matchup we are expected to get sure doesn’t spell hope for either team, as Nate Eovaldi and Nick Lodolo are listed as probable for this Monday affair. Neither pitcher has gotten off to an impressive start to the campaign, but at least Eovaldi has pitched no less than 5 innings in any of his four starts and he’s given up less than 3ER three of those outings.
Lodolo started the campaign in decent shape but his last start against Tampa Bay was a full-blown disaster allowing 8ER and 3 home runs to the scorching-hot Rays.

I have more confidence in Eovaldi to shut down the Reds and I will take that #2 ranked offense with Texas to get the job done on Monday. I am thrilled that we have a 2.00 on the board, although I do see some books starting to trim down the juice at 1.95 so get this tip in ASAP!
