We’ve known about the Rangers’ issues with giving up runs all season, and you can indeed find me pushing you towards a Texas total plenty over the campaign. To make matters worse, the Rangers brought over Dallas Keuchel and he is someone who simply has not earned my respect as a starting pitcher in the Major Leagues.
The last time Keuchel took the mound… Wait, the last 7 times this dude has made an appearance in a baseball game we have seen him giving it up all too often. ‘It’ is the long ball, and the thing he is giving up is the runs that follow behind those big blasts he is surrendering time and time again.
If the outing against Arizona didn’t tell you all you needed to know about how bad Keuchel can be, he proved it again in his last start against the Detroit Tigers. Hi, I said the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Detroit Tigers offenses smashing him up to pieces.
Between both starts, he gave up 7 earned runs in each game and the 4 bombs against him are just more of the same ole, same ole happening this year. Keuchel is pitching for his third team already this season, and yet someone seems to think that he has something left to give.
He doesn’t! The Red Sox team total is listed at 5.5 runs and I suspect that they’ll have all 6 of those runs in the books early in this game. I guess we could go about this a few ways but for me, the best option I can find is that Bosox team total because of the line on the action.
The total at straight 10 is playable, and as much as I expect Nick Pivetta to probably give up a few runs I do not doubt that Boston can score six runs on Keuchel. If my job is to get us on the play that puts funds in our pockets; then my job is done for the day!

Fenway Park is going to celebrate on Friday night, and it will come after they light up Dallas Keuchel for 7 runs keeping his run going. Last I heard, 7 is considered a lucky number by some, so I am not about to watch Keuchel give up another 7 runs on his own and not just laugh my way to the bank.
