Doesn’t it figure that the Marlins had to wait until the top of the 6th inning to score 4 runs last night? That was one brutal way to miss a play adding insult to injury so now I end up with an 0 – 2 record to start the week. Awesome, just what I was looking to do, right?
So, as I humbly apologize for not handing you a winner again on Tuesday, it’s onto Hump Day and I better come up with the goods tonight.
Hi, my name is Ej Garr and I fade Lucas Giolito as often as I possibly can. No, really, feel free to look over my campaign here and look for White Sox games with a dude named Lucas making the start.
The last time we saw Lucky Lucas he was seen starting against the Houston Astros, and the game ended up being a lopsided loss, 21 – 5. That’s right, I said 21 runs were scored against the White Sox and Giolito surrendered 7 of those earned runs while only recording 9 outs in the contest.
If you are a fantasy guy, feel free to play as many Oriole bats as they allow, and I am one of those people who will likely have a card with some Baltimore bats in the fray. You know from reading my posts that I also call this place Kiddie Park, Maryland.
Kiddie Park doesn’t mean like a theme park for kids as you might be thinking like a Chuck E. Cheese or Disneyland. it just means that when the summer months bring heat and humidity up the east coast, this building turns into an Over-building that even a kid could bash a homer here. I invented that term years ago so forgive me for taking pride in the nickname for this stadium.
Now, we are only staring at an 8 for a total and I don’t see why Giolito can’t give up, at least, five of those runs nice and early.
Spenser Watkins is being shown as the listed starter for the birds, and he is featuring a 4.04 ERA and a 4 – 3 record this campaign. Nothing to write home about, and he has given up a bomb in for of his last 5 starts. If I am being honest, this dude could have a tremendous win/loss record if he has some offensive help in his starts this campaign. Time and again we have seen him only give up a single earned run and he is an outstanding pitcher for a team that has the playoffs in mind now.
Watkins is not going to make this total easy to hit, and he is my main concern when it comes to this total I want to suggest. I see the Giolito effect outweighing anything good from Watkins, so we should also be driving home the Orioles team total if you get a good line.
I am seeing a 3.5 at 1.80 for the Orioles team total and if you don’t play that? My goodness, that is what I call a can of corn, so sit back and catch it with ease while it helps us topple this game total too.

We will only get so many more chances to release the fade on Lucky Lucas and luckily the dude usually gives it up when we expect him to. I know I need a big rebound day, so I hope the Giolito effect kicks in and it gets us back on track this week.
