ATLANTA BRAVES VS PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES SAME-GAME PARLAY, STATS, PLAYER PROPS

As both teams eye the post-season, the Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies kick off a 3-game series between NL East foes. The Braves received a gentle reminder from the Marlins this weekend that they aren’t going away without a fight, and now Atlanta has to pick up the pieces from a weekend sweep by the Fish.

The Phighting Phils currently have the best record among teams that won’t be winning their division, because the Braves have simply built enough of a cushion to already have the NL East title clinched. How will the first game of this series play out on Monday night? Let’s see why Ej expects runs to be scored early and often to build a same-game parlay with 3.30 odds.

ATLANTA BRAVES VS PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES SAME GAME PARLAY: AN NL EAST BATTLE TO START THE WEEK

EXPECT AN EARLY RUN TO CROSS THE PLATE

Well, not only do I expect plenty of runs to be scored tonight, but I also expect a boot to touch home plate before there are 6 outs recorded in this Monday-night affair in Atlanta. The Braves just got their asses handed to them by the Marlins this past weekend, and I usually don’t use that verbiage but it was ugly. After winning 3 games of a 4-game series with the Phillies to start last week on the road, the trip ended with 3 hurricanes in Miami and I don’t mean the weather. The Marlins won game 1 of the series with the Braves on Friday, 9 – 6, and then followed that up with an 11 – 5 thumping of Atlanta on Saturday.

The Marlins didn’t score until the third inning on Sunday, but all they did from there was pound out a 16 – 2 resounding win to sweep the Braves out of Florida!

Zack Wheeler and Kyle Wright are listed as the probable starting pitchers for this opening game of the set in Atlanta, and Wheeler is probably not thrilled to see the chop at the plate so soon. Wheeler just started against the Braves in last week’s series and he got lit up 3 times for bombs in a 7 – 6 extra-inning loss, albeit resulting in a no-decision because the offense bailed him out.

This may not be a playoff game yet, but there will be some intensity on this field because the Braves still want to clinch home-field advantage in the NL playoffs, and the Phillies want to remain the 4 seed in the post-season picture.

I don’t trust Kyle Wright to have his A-stuff back yet after only one start under his belt since returning from injury back in May. Wright has only made 6 starts in the entire campaign, and he too, just got hit pretty hard against this same Phillies lineup on September 11.

Expect more than just one run to cross the plate early, and make the 1st-Inning Over 0.5 Run your first part of the MLB Monday night same-game parlay.

IGNITE THE FIREWORKS IN HOTLANTA

This game will be 2 – 1 before we arrive at the second inning, so you are adding the 1st-Inning Over 0.5 to the game total Over 9.5. I expect early fireworks as two pitchers have shown that they cannot be trusted right now to slow down offenses the caliber we have on the field tonight.

The Braves’ defense looked like they had never played baseball before this past weekend, the sweep by the Marlins this past weekend I assume woke them up before returning home for this series.

This game will be 12 – 10, and I am not even trying to play around with you. That’s 22 boots touching the dish on Monday night, so bang home the 3.30 same-game parlay with a pair of totals working in harmony!
