I know, right? It’s 1 – 0 going to the bottom of the 5th inning and we have the Over 4.5 on the board. You turned off the game all mad at me and then you opened your betting account and said, “Holy….” Something like that! How did that happen?
It happened on Monday for us too, so I just don’t know how else to put it but my karma must be in the right place.
So, you know what we’re doing tonight? It’s time to raise the stakes a little bit and with the money we made last night let’s turn it around and play this Over 5 in Atlanta through the first 5 innings.
Now, we could easily slap down the Over 4, and the line is fair enough at 1.85 as I see it. You can certainly settle for that, but I am in the mood to cash a nice ticket tonight full of value being the Mayor of Value City and all.
The Braves are hosting the Rockies on Thursday night and Chad Kuhl is taking the mound for the Rockies. I don’t know what sport you follow or if you like to bet on baseball or not, but Chad Kuhl is going to help us cash this ticket all by himself. Well, he can’t literally do it alone, but it will be his fault that the Braves score 5 runs before the 6th inning comes, and that doesn’t even include what the Rockies might add to the mix. I think Atlanta is going to score all 5 of these runs and we know that Kuhl will give up a home run again because he does it as often as you shower. Wait, you don’t stink, right? Okay good!
Kuhl has surrendered a home run, at least, in his last 7 starts, and the total of them is 11 over that period. He hasn’t given up less than 3 earned runs since 1945, and the stadium wasn’t even built here yet! Man, I am sorry but we are simply fading Chad Kuhl in this spot because I have zero faith that the dude has a clue what he’s doing at this point.
All right, fine, I’ll give him some credit for that start against the Dodgers before these last 7 outings, because I think we all had our jaws dropped when he went 9 innings and only gave up 3 hits in a shutout of L.A. Noted… Don’t care and that was too long ago for me to think he can regain any confidence down the final stretch of the campaign.
Atlanta is vying for the NL East title, the best record in baseball, and the Rockies are playing for next season! I don’t expect Kuhl to be on the Colorado roster in 2023. As you peruse his career in the bigs, would you want him in your starting 5 rotation? He’s put up one winning season, and that was just a 5 – 4 record with the Pirates in his rookie season. Since then it’s been 70 home runs allowed over the last 5 years overall and that’s a great fade if you ask me!
