The Texas Tech Red Raiders and Ole Miss Rebels will take the NRG Stadium field in Houston on Wednesday night, and the Texas Bowl trophy will be up for grabs. The Rebels find themselves as -3.5 favorites and a 70 is showing on the total, so where will our resident NCAA football expert Ej Garr go to find the best bet to make for this tilt?

Listen, you can factor in the SEC schedule for Ole Miss all you like, but the Rebels are far from one of the stronger programs in the conference. The whole reason that Ole Miss is playing in this game is that they fell apart to end the regular season going 1 – 4 and any good team they met they struggled with. Does that give you the confidence to invest with a favoured Mississippi team with your hard-earned money? Well, it does nothing for my confidence when it comes to handing out the best bet to make for this contest.

Quinshon Judkins is going run the ball, and then they will let him try to run the ball some more, and oh, guess what? There is no way that the Red Raiders’ defense is going to let him go off and carry the torch for Ole Miss because we all know he is going to be asked to do a lot today. Keying on one player is not that difficult when you feel as if the QB can’t beat you with his arm, and I do not think that Jaxson Dart can be that guy for Ole Miss.

With 8 interceptions and only 18 TD passes, the other concern is all of the short drop-offs and screen passes he throws throughout the game. He only averages about 6 yards per attempt, and that also gives the Red Raider defense an edge knowing he will not be taking many shots down the field.
