NEW MEXICO STATE AGGIES VS JACKSONVILLE STATE GAMECOCKS: UPSET ALERT IN ALBUQUERQUE

Let me start with this game in Albuquerque because after seeing what I saw last weekend I cannot believe this line is sitting here. If you didn’t see what I saw last weekend, let’s talk about what happened, shall we?

The Auburn Tigers! You know, the team playing Alabama that I will be talking about next as part of this combo package. Auburn and New Mexico State played last weekend on Auburn’s home field, and as 27-point underdogs, the Aggies handed the Tigers their ass! (Pardon my French!)

Yes, these Aggies didn’t just cover the line, they walked into SEC territory and found an outright win in convincing fashion, 31- 10. Now, Jacksonville State is favoured in New Mexico?

Listen, I am impressed as hell with what the Gamecocks have achieved in their first season playing at the FBS level, but the momentum from beating Auburn is simply too much for me to ignore with the home team in this spot. We all know that the Gamecocks are playing their final game of the year because they are not eligible to compete in a bowl game this season.

New Mexico State already knows that they will be playing Liberty in the Conference USA Championship Game next weekend. While that game is certainly more important than bothering to put out a massive effort this weekend, New Mexico State had nothing to gain against Auburn either! If the Aggies had gotten crushed by Auburn last weekend, they would still be playing in the Conference USA title game.

I see no letup for a team playing their final home game of the year and I see a team that wants to keep that momentum going into next weekend’s big game at Liberty. That will be a true road game for New Mexico State next weekend, so I look for an Aggies win to wrap up the regular season at home. We do have 3 precious points in our pockets, so let’s take advantage of them.

  • Selection: New Mexico State +3 Handicap
  • Best Odds: 1.91
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stakes: 4/10

AUBURN TIGERS VS ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE: THE IRON BOWL SEASON FINALE

I just spoke about how poor of a performance Auburn managed against New Mexico State last weekend, and what a terrible way to approach the Iron Bowl with mighty Alabama in town. Losing to a New Mexico State team as 27-point chalk and losing by 21 points instead is embarrassing, and now the Tigers have to try and pick up the pieces to face an undefeated Alabama team this weekend.

GOOD LUCK!!

Listen to me!

Alabama will score all 48 of the points we’ll need to cash this total on Saturday, as they will be winning this game 52 – 20 and heading right into the SEC title game next weekend.

The Tide just put up 66 points last weekend against Chatanooga, and that came after 49 49-point effort against Kentucky and a 42-point effort against LSU. Alabama’s offence is going to have a field day running up and down the Auburn defense, so take the Alabama team total to fly over the number and put this Over in your 3-game NCAA Football Week 13 Parlay.

Alabama has won the last three meetings with Auburn, and two of those outings resulted in lopsided Crimson Tide wins. Last season, a 49 – 27 win as three touchdown favs came easy for the Tide, and I expect more success on Saturday for Nick Saban’s program.

Jalen Milroe isn’t on anyone’s watchlist to win awards or be draped with honors, but I think all of us would trade an undefeated regular season for any personal success. This is a team sport and the Alabama Crimson Tide are in great form while catching an Auburn team reeling from a terrible loss. Ride the total, and expect Alabama to get all of it!

  • Selection: Over 47.5 Points
  • Best Odds: 1.91
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stakes: 4/10

UMASS MINUTEMEN VS UCONN HUSKIES: A HOME DOG TO WRAP UP THE REGULAR SEASON

UConn is favoured against anyone? No, thank you! If the line setters want to be impressed by that win over a Sacred Heart program last weekend, they can have it! I am not so impressed with my Alma Mater this season, and being given a -2.5 on the road is simply not going to work out well for the Huskies on Saturday.

Kay-Ron Adams is the only name you need to know when it comes to the outcome of this game. The UMass running back is already over 1100 yards rushing, and he will likely snatch up 200+ more this weekend.

Am I concerned that the UMass defense is a complete mess? Sure I am, but you have to have an offence that can take advantage of how porous they’ve been this season.

The Huskies could let all 6 of their quarterbacks take the field and none of them have the chops to win football games, especially on the road. As I say that, I see this Over 51.5 and think it will get toppled somehow. I see a 31 – 21 UMass win and that barely does hit the number we would need to hit this total.

I am more convinced that UMass is 10 points better than UConn, so instead of bothering with the +2.5, I suggest the Moneyline on the home team on Saturday to complete our NCAA Football Week 13 Parlay.

  • Selection: UMass Minutemen Moneyline
  • Best Odds: 2.15
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stakes: 4/10
