NCAA Football Parlay Picks for Week 12: Totals Take Up The Weekend

NCAA Football Parlay Picks for Week 12: Totals Take Up The Weekend
IMAGO / USA TODAY Network Oregon State Beavers helmet sits during a game against the Washington State Cougars in the first half at Gesa Field at Martin Stadium.

With only two full weekends of regular season NCAA football left on the schedule, Ej has a trio of totals to make up a 6.95 parlay for Week 12. The Washington Huskies are trying to reach the FBS Playoffs, and they’ll be facing an eager Oregon State program that will be scoring points with them all afternoon in Corvallis.

The Jacksonville Gamecocks have made quite an impression in their first season playing at the FBS level, and they’ll be chasing an eighth win but will still be ineligible for any type of post-season affairs. Ej expects the Gamecocks to have a big final home game of the campaign when they take on the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs on Saturday in the Sunshine State.

Wrapping up proceedings in Atlanta, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets welcome the Syracuse Orange to town for an ACC clash between two programs chasing bowl eligibility with equal 5 – 5 records.

Let’s hit the gridiron and put some points on the board to build a 3-game NCAA Football Week 12 Parlay with odds at 6.95.

NCAA Football Week 12 Parlay Odds: 6.95

OREGON STATE BEAVERS VS WASHINGTON HUSKIES: POINTS A PLENTY FROM THE PAC 12

The first of the three games I had to jump all over was this total in Corvallis. I have no idea what the hell the linesetters are doing leaving us this much room on the total at 62, but who am I to argue?

I am not going to do anything but laugh when the score is 35 – 28 and the fourth quarter is about to start. That’s right, there are all 63 of our points in the bank through 3 quarters of football because these two teams are going to enjoy some scoring this afternoon.

First of all, unless you just don’t follow NCAA football, Washington is undefeated and wants to keep this run going all the way to an FBS Playoff appearance. We don’t get to see many Pac-12 teams in the FBS Playoff, and only Oregon can say that they have even participated in any Championship Game at all (Lost the first FBS title game to Ohio State in‘14-15).

What Washington preview would be complete without mentioning the Heisman Trophy Odds leader, Michael Penix Jr.? All he has done is lead the #1 passing attack in the nation that averages 378 yards an outing, and I think he will have that number hit before we even see the last quarter.

As I said, I see this game going way into the 40’s, and Oregon State will keep up with the Huskies. Let’s be clear that the BEAVERS are the team that is favoured at home on Saturday against an undefeated Washington team!

43 – 40! I don’t care who wins now! HA!

JACKSONVILLE STATE GAMECOCKS VS LA TECH BULLDOGS: COCK-A-DOODLE DEFENCE

My goodness, the amount of points I also expect in Florida makes me laugh when I see 54 on this total. As you may or may not be aware, there is no postseason game for the Gamecocks to enjoy, so there can’t be a Conference USA title or a bowl game win this year for this program.

I find it insane that James Madison and Jax State are being held out of the most important games in their conferences, and bowl games are just out of the question until the NCAA says so. At 5 – 1 in conference play and 7 – 3 overall, the Cocks are arguably one of the best teams in Conference USA.

I think the final home game is going to showcase Zion Webb’s talents, and he will be breaking his personal record of 218 passing yards today against the LA Tech defense. Webb had 218 passing yards against K. Kentucky two games ago, so he needs that breakout game this weekend. He will get another crack at it against New Mexico State in the final weekend of the regular season, and he might be okay with that if this team can run the ball this Saturday.

Let’s not let the LA Tech defense hide behind that 128th ranking in rush yards allowed per game, and all of the other defensive rankings that have a 120+ next to them. If there is ever a good chance to get your offense rolling, put the Bulldogs on the other side of the field and watch the yards build up!

GEORGIA TECH YELLOW JACKETS VS SYRACUSE ORANGE: A SHOOTOUT IN HOTLANTA

Syracuse and offense can make some people shrug at the idea of taking an over, and then I get to talk about the Georgia Tech defense and change the dynamic. This game is huge for both of these programs on Saturday because a bowl bid for a sixth win will be the biggest accomplishment that either team can, well, accomplish.

At 5 – 5, Brent Key and Dino Babers have to find a way to keep their kids excited enough to see the value in being in a bowl team, even if it does land them in an early bowl that isn’t full of much significance.

It was starting to become tough to have any faith in the Orange offense until we saw them break out a bit last weekend against Pitt. Oh, in case you missed it, all Syracuse did was run the ball against the Panthers last weekend, and then they ran the ball some more before running the ball a little more.

How do 66 attempts for a total of 382 rushing yards float your boat? The passing game? Well, let’s not talk about that because it doesn’t exist anymore for Syracuse at this point. I would imagine that the plan all week was to just get better at running the ball and work on it all week to prepare for Georgia Tech.

Isn’t it ironic? All of those years Georgia Tech was a run-option ground team, and now the Orange are the ones doing it to have any kind of success right now.

And it just so happens that 133 teams are playing at the FBS level, and the Yellow Jacket defense ranks 132nd in stopping the run. Expect a heavy dose of runs from Syracuse all night long, and expect the Jackets’ defense to have no answers for it!

  • Selection: Over 53 Points
  • Best Odds: 1.91

  • Stakes: 4/10
