NCAA Football Parlay Picks for the Conference Championship: December 2nd NCAA Football Parlay

NCAA Football Parlay Picks for the Conference Championship: December 2nd NCAA Football Parlay
IMAGO / ZUMA Wire Tulane Green Wave helmets sit on the sideline prior to the NCAA, College League.

It is Championship Weekend around the landscape of college football this weekend, and 10 programs will hoist hardware on Friday and Saturday claiming their conference titles. Our resident NCAA football expert Ej Garr has picked out a trio of affairs to discuss, and he is including a same-game parlay from one of those matchups.

Starting with the showdown for the Big 12 Championship, Ej bashes out a 2-game combo for the game between Texas and Oklahoma State, and then he heads to Vegas!

UNLV and Boise State will clash in Sin City, and points will be the theme of the day in deciding the Mountain West Conference Championship.

Finishing with the showdown in the Big Easy, Ej doesn’t like the odds of SMU prevailing without their injured QB, so Tulane might be headed for a big win en route to an American Conference title.

Big games, big pieces of hardware, and big spots in this year’s Bowl Season are all at stake this weekend, so let’s face the pressure and see what Ej has in store for the bettingexpert community for Saturday!

TEXAS LONGHORNS VS OKLAHOMA STATE COWBOYS: BIG 12 HARDWARE ON THE LINE

After the two Conference Championship games being played on Friday night, the first of the eight games for Saturday kick off at high noon EDT here in the States. So, if you aren’t busy around 17:00 UK time you should be able to tune in for this contest being played at AT&T Stadium.

The Big 12 title is on the line, and the Texas Longhorns are considerable favourites against the Oklahoma State Cowboys this afternoon. At -14.5, I will just put it out there now that I find that line to be completely disrespectful and it almost makes me want to take the the Cowboys outright to upset the Hook ‘Em Horns!

Now, we don’t need to get so bold because we are in a spot to cash a same-game parlay when all of these points break the scoreboard at Jerry’s House in Arlington, TX. This stadium is going to be jam-packed, and let’s make no mistake that there will be plenty of Cowboys faithful in the building against Texas, even if they are playing this game in the Lone Star State.

If that poor showing against Central Florida still has left a bad taste in your mouth in respecting the Cowboys’ overall body of work, don’t let it bother you that much! The Cowboys were completely unprepared to play a game in a monsoon, and their cleats and footing had no chance in Florida that day. Yes, it was an ugly loss, but make no mistake those conditions were miserable and Oklahoma State was admittingly unprepared for it.

Outside of that debacle, the Cowboys are 7 – 1 over their last 8 games, and getting this many points in our pockets is a dream scenario. Texas is certainly going to have their fair share of success moving the ball against the Cowboys, and Oklahoma State’s offence hasn’t scored less than 27 points over this 8-game run if we exclude that Central Florida 3-point effort.

I don’t think either of these two teams is going to be slowed down, and I see a 45 – 42 game ending so much closer than the line setters want you to believe. There will be no beatdown of the Cowboys on Saturday, so lasso up this same-game combo and enjoy the 3.00 payout.

UNLV REBELS VS BOISE STATE BRONCOS: BET ON POINTS IN SIN CITY

After the Big 12 Conference Championship game wraps up around 3 PM ET, this Mountain West Conference Championship game will be kicking off in Las Vegas.

UNLV earned the right to host the affair, and that means the weather should be perfect for a shootout in the desert this Saturday afternoon. The line setters seem to think that 59 points is enough to make people think about where to go with this total, and that’s where I come in.

Let’s start with the fact that Boise State has never lost to UNLV, although they have only met 5 times with the last coming in 2019. Even though they both play in the MWC, it doesn’t mean they play each other with any type of consistency.

At 32 PPG, the Boise State offense may only rank 37th in the Nation in scoring, but that is still an impressive number. Both teams have hit 8 of their 12 overs this season, and yet Taylen Green can barely throw a damn football. Green is much more likely to have a running play called into the huddle than having him use his arm to win games.

Green’s numbers as a passer aren’t even worth talking about because there’s not much happening. Green has only gone over 13 completions once this entire season, and that came against North Dakota on opening weekend. In the 5 previous games before last weekend’s win over Air Force, Green didn’t even complete more than 5 total passes in any of those games.

Am I concerned his lack of success passing the ball could factor into this game? Not so much, because what that dude can do along with his backfield mates is worth the price of admission.

Ashton Jeanty already has over 1,100 rushing yards on his ledger with this and a bowl game left to play to add to those stout numbers. George Ohlani has 500+ rushing yards to boot, and between him and Jeanty, the two have seen the end zone 18 times on the ground.

UNLV QB Jalen Maiava has accumulated 2,626 passing yards with 14 strikes to paydirt, and #1 looks for #11 in the pattern as often as he can. Ricky White is just two yards shy of the 1,300 mark in receiving yards with 76 snatches and 7 TD grabs, and that accounts for half of Maiava’s TD tosses.

While the Boise offense will have success on the ground this Saturday, the Rebels will rely on their run game just as much as the combo of Maiava to White. The Rebels’ top-3 running backs have consumed 26 scoots to the end zone, while Jai-Den Thomas accounts for 12 of those.

The clock may run because both teams rely on the ground game, but they will also both have so much success that the points will be what stops the clock!

Expect a score in the 30s and something like a 37 – 34 finish to the Mountain West Conference Championship Game from Las Vegas.

  • Selection: Game Total Over 59 Points

TULANE GREEN WAVE VS SMU MUSTANGS: AMERICAN CONFERENCE TITLE AT STAKE

The Tulane Green Wave will have a pair of big advantages when they take on the SMU Mustangs to contest the American Conference Championship Game on Saturday.

First of all, the game is being played in New Orleans on the campus of Tulane at Yulman Stadium. With an 11 – 1 overall record along with a perfect 8 – 0 conference record, Tulane earned the right to host the event, although SMU also ran the table in conference play with an 8 – 0 record.

Tulane is chasing a big piece of personal history this Saturday, as they are seeking to earn their first back-to-back conference titles since 1930-31 when they were competing in what was the Southern Conference at the time. That’s nearly 100 years in case you need some help with that, HA!

The second big advantage that Tulane has is the fact that the SMU quarterback, Preston Stone, exited the final regular season game against Navy with a season-ending injury. Stone snapped his fibula and he will not be playing in this American Conference title game nor the bowl game that SMU will land in come December.

Stone was the unquestioned leader of this Mustang offence, and now he will not be able to add to his 28 TD passes this year. Stone also added four scores on the ground, so what will SMU do now?

Kevin Jennings and Alex Padilla seem to be the guys who will be asked to take over for Stone, and Jennings only has a total of 3 TD passes to his credit. Jennings has only appeared in 5 games this year and Padilla just 3, so that presents quite a problem.

As high-powered as the SMU offense can be, without Stone there to run the machine it sure changes the dynamic of this title game.

As you all know, I rarely play favourites and I am more opt to think underdog first. In this spot, I can’t get past how incredible the Tulane defence has played this season while having to prepare for a backup QB instead of Stone.

Tulane’s defence ranks 18th in the country holding opponents to an average of 18.3 PPG, and on their home field, I expect them to shine brightly en route to their first repeat conference titles since the 1930s.

I’ll offer a 31 – 18 final score prediction with the Wave covering the chalk!

  • Selection: Tulane -3.5 Handicap
  • Best Odds: 1.91
  • Bookmaker: bet365
  • Stakes: 5/10
