Philadelphia Eagles v San Francisco 49ers Same-Game Parlay: Offences Lead The Way In Philly

Both Teams To Score 20+ Points

Philadelphia came mightily close to its second loss of the season on Sunday evening, outlasting the Buffalo Bills 37-34 in overtime to move to 10-1 and all but secure their berth in the postseason.
The Eagles certainly rode their luck – trailing 24-14 entering the fourth quarter, scoring a 59-yard field goal in brutal conditions with 20 seconds left then surviving a walk-off overtime loss through a miscommunication between Josh Allen and Gabe Davis before Jalen Hurts ran in untouched for the game-ending score.

It showed a resilience and a will to win that Philadelphia has relied on throughout the season so far, including in wins over the Kansas City Chiefs, Dallas Cowboys, and Washington Commanders, where they were extremely close to defeats.

The 49ers, meanwhile, have been rolling in the last few weeks and Brock Purdy has looked better than ever under centre – dispelling the question marks that arose when he was suffering from concussion against the Cincinatti Bengals and Minnesota Vikings.

Their offence has come alive again since the bye week, getting healthy and making mincemeat of opposing defences. The Niners have averaged 30.7 points per game across that three game stretch, winning games by an average of 20.7 points in that span.

At 8-3 San Francisco still has an outside chance of securing home-field advantage throughout the play-offs, but they’ll have to beat the Eagles – whilst also relying on someone else to – to stand any chance of securing the #1 seed.

Each of these sides is averaging over 28 points per game on the season – with San Francisco’s rising to 32.4 in victories – and the Eagles defence is unlikely to prevent them from doing whatever they want.

The Birds, despite being 10-1, haven’t exactly been a stellar defence, allowing their opponents to reach 20 points in seven of 11 games (eight if Marquez Valdes-Scantling could catch) – though they’ve managed 20 themselves in 10 of 11, hitting 30 on five occasions.

Christian McCaffrey To Score A Touchdown

Three things are certain in life. Death, taxes, and Christian McCaffrey scoring touchdowns.

The running-back has been almost automatic since joining San Francisco from the Carolina Panthers last season, and leads all offensive players with 16 combined rushing and receiving touchdowns so far this year.

CMC averages more touchdowns per game than both the New York Jets and New York Giants so far this year and, though his streak of consecutive games with a score ended at 17 against Jacksonville, don’t be shocked if he finds the endzone here.

Jalen Hurts To Score A Touchdown

Another man who wouldn’t shock anyone if he scored a rushing touchdown is Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, who broke Cam Newton’s record for games with 2+ rushing touchdowns for a QB last week against Buffalo.

Hurts’ 11th career game with multiple scores took him to 11 rushing touchdowns on the year – tied for second among all players – and the famed ‘tush push’ has looked unstoppable.

In fact, since a Week 1 blank against New England, only the Washington Commanders have kept Hurts out of the endzone – with their other eight opponents all succumbing to the brotherly shove.
