Swiss Super League Predictions and Betting Tips
Football in Switzerland dates back a lot further than anyone thinks. It started way back in 1898. It was then reformed in 1933 until it came to what we have today, as the modern format of the Swiss Super League, as well as its name, was established in 2003.
The Swiss league has many clubs that have become important plates in the European football landscape. They are not participants any more, as some have earned the right to be called contenders in some situations. All of this creates a bigger need for betting and making an accurate Swiss Super League prediction.
Our page has everything that you need when it comes to betting on this league. We will provide you with the needed help, and information about the league, as well as fresh new tips and predictions for almost all of the forthcoming games.
Swiss Super League Fixtures
Ever since the inception of the Swiss Super League in 2003, the league has been functioning under the same format. However, this year will mark the first important change to the league structure ever since the change from the National League to the Super League.
First of all, the league will expand to 12 teams as opposed to 10 last season. Second, each team will play one another three times for a total number of 33 games each. Finally, the competition will be split into the Championship Group and the Relegation Group after the first part of the season.
The newly formed groups will mean that each club will play the other team a single time. Points from the first phase will carry over to the next. The Championship group will result in the winner of the league as well as teams qualifying for Europe. The Relegation Group will involve a battle to stay up.
The very last team of the Relegation Group will be directly demoted, while the second to last team will have a chance to preserve their Super League status through a playoff game.
Swiss Super League Season Start and End Date
The 2023/24 Swiss Super League season starts on 22 July 2023. It will also feature the newly added format with more games adding more opportunities to make your Swiss Super League predictions. Including both phases, each club has a chance to play 38 games a season, resulting in 228 matches for the entire season in Switzerland.
The season will end on 25 May 2024, and compared to the previous season, either one or two clubs will be relegated and substituted for teams from the lower Swiss league.
