The La Liga champions are back in action on Saturday and our expert Nathan Joyes has provided his Betis vs Real Madrid Best Bet, team news, lineups and fixtures preview.

Real Betis head into this with the third best record in the league over the last five matches, and as a result have climbed into 7th spot. They are battling for a European spot but if they are to achieve that, home draws need to start becoming wins.

Real Madrid’s hectic schedule continues, and face Real Sociedad midweek in the Copa del Rey before this fixture. Although in good form, can Betis look to punish Carlo Ancelotti’s side who will play their 9th match in less than a month? Nathan Joyes provides his thoughts.

Betis vs Real Madrid Prediction: Key players missing will hurt the hosts

Spain, La Liga, Saturday, February 15th, 15:15 (UK)

Real Betis head into their clash against Real Madrid with better form. Over the last five La Liga matches, Betis have picked up 10 points and are back in the race for a European spot.

Real Madrid’s hectic schedule has caught up with them – a little – who have won eight points from a possible 15. However, their Osasuna draw can be taken with a pinch of salt, having faced Man City, twice, either side of that match.

A 1-1 draw against fierce rivals Atletico can also be seen as a positive. There’s nothing to be over concerned about just yet – especially considering they’ve conceded just three goals.

Betis, despite their good run of form, haven’t bumped into anyone quite on Real Madrid’s level – and this hasn’t been factored into the price which gives us a slight edge.

Instead of focusing on their draws, we should be singing their praises for their performances against Man City – in particular their 3-2 win at the Etihad. Their never say die attitude is why they continuously win titles, and time and time again they’ve won these tricky looking fixtures.

Carlo Ancelotti may be without Jude Bellingham who remains suspended for another fixture, but the form of Kylian Mbappe should be enough to see them get over the line. The Frenchman has six goals and an assist to his name from his last five games, who’s looking to add to his impressive 17 La Liga goals this weekend.

And while Real Madrid can cover Bellingham’s absence, Betis might not be able to do the same with their star man also suspended.

On loan winger Antony – who has scored three goals and provided an assist in his first five games – was sent off against Getafe last time out. Betis will struggle to bring in someone capable of producing his kind of output – especially against Real Madrid.

The reverse fixture saw Los Blancos comfortably win 2-0, and with Betis’ new showman out of the game, Ancelotti has an advantage too good to ignore as they look to apply more pressure on Barcelona at the top of the tree.

Betis vs Real Madrid Injuries, Team News and Possible Lineups

As mentioned, Betis will be without Antony who has been a shining light since joining on loan from Manchester United. To make matters worse, their top goalscorer – Giovani Lo Celso – is also out injured.

Forward Vitor Roque might not be included within the squad with Palmeiras rumoured to have signed the no.9 from Barcelona, ending his loan deal early.

Real Madrid are also without one of their best players – Jude Bellingham – but a huge positive saw Antonio Rudiger return to the pitch after missing most of February due to a muscle injury. He’ll likely take his place on the bench this weekend.

Betis possible starting lineup:
Adrian; Rodriguez, Llorente, Bartra, Sabaly, Altimira, Cardoso, Rodriguez, Isco, Avila, Hernandez

Real Madrid possible starting lineup:
Courtois; Garcia, Rudiger, Tchouameni, Asencio, Valverde, Ceballos, Rodrygo, Bellingham, Diaz, Mbappe
