Victoria Kasintseva vs Anca Todoni Prediction, Picks, Odds, H2H, Stats - 9/6/24
Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva and Anca Alexia Todoni square off on Friday in the Round of 16 in Switzerland with a spot in the quarterfinal of the Montreux quarterfinals on the line.
With the chalk set at -200 toward a Todoni victory, the Romanian native is expected to advance to the next stage on the Swiss clay.
Victoria Kasintseva bashed her way past top-seeded Maria Carle in the opening round removing the 1-seed from the event in straight sets.
EJ Garr’s Victoria Kasintseva vs Anca Todoni prediction features odds at +160 and you can take advantage of this tip below.

With the US Open women having off on Friday to prepare for the final this weekend, we will focus on the Montreux Challenger in Switzerland to end the week.
I’ll be covering the last two Round of 16 affairs in this event before we reach the quarters and it starts with Kasintseva taking on Todoni.
Todoni is strongly favored at -200 and that line doesn’t intimidate me after seeing Kasintsseva plow over top-seeded Maria Carle. Carle was favored at -225 to blow past Kasintseva so how did that work out for the Argentinian?
Kasintseva is ranked 182nd on the WTA Tour and this will be another example of why I put very little stock into those numbers. Todoni is ranked 136th in the world so how far apart do you think these two are?
Not much, and it won’t stop me from believing that Kasintseva can take a set from Todoni in this match.
The 19-year-old Andorran native has grown up this season despite not appearing in many high-profile events this year. Wins against players such as Linda Fruhvirtova and Maria Carle are confidence builders at this point of Kasintseva’s career.
Todoni had a decent run at Wimbledon winning a few matches before being sent packing by Coco Gauff and the Romanian has struggled since with a 2 – 4 record in her last 6 outings.
I have this match going the distance and at +160 on the Over 2.5 sets I will test that water!
VICTORIA JIMENEZ KASINTSEVA RECENT FORM
Victoria hasn’t played in many WTA125 events this season but she won’t feel outclassed in this event. Despite the line setters not believing in the Andorra native, it didn’t stop her from taking out Carle to start the event.
Kasintseva is 21 – 12 on clay this season and I don’t think she’ll argue with anyone about clay being her best surface.
ANCA ALEXIA TODONI RECENT FORM
Todoni will also claim to be a better player on clay than any other surface. Anca is 17 – 8 this season on the dirt and put up a 46 – 12 record on clay a season ago.
Todoni is 2 – 4 in her last six matches although Alonia Falei quit in the first set in Iasi to ensure one of those two victories.
KASINTSEVA VS TODONI HTH – STAT OF THE MATCH
This will be the first meeting between Kasintseva and Todoni on any surface.
