My favorite prop bet is going on the board because Tatjana Maria loves to get into these matches where the game takes hours to finish.

Four of the last five outings for Maria have gone the distance except her most recent effort in Cancun on February 11, which we need to discuss. Losing in straight sets to  230th-ranked Iryna Shymanovich is a bit ridiculous, and Maria was the 1-seed with expectations to win the damn tournament! The loss at 6 – 2, 6 – 2 is even more insulting.

As disappointing as that result was, the German native must put that memory behind her and give Anna Bondar a battle, which I expect to happen.

Anna Bondar is also trying to put a 2-game losing skid in her rear-view mirror, and the Hungarian native only has two wins from her last seven outings. Each of those wins is against players ranked outside the top 130, and everything else has been a full-blown disaster for Bondar lately.

The breaks of serve will add up and the game count will fly with it. The 21.5 game total is juiced at -125 toward the Over, and we are not paying the price for that.

This will be a clinic on how to NOT play tennis, and you will need an abacus to count the unforced errors and mistakes made by these two ladies. Don’t watch this match, just bet on the Over 2.5 games and cash the +150 ticket when the match is done.

Tatjana Maria needs to regain her confidence after an ugly loss in Cancun. With two weeks off since the harsh defeat against Shymanovich, Maria recorded five wins in India to win the Bengaluru title before going 1 – 1 in Singapore and losing to Elise Mertens.

Maria is 7 – 4 this season and is following up her worst season on clay in 2024 after going 4 – 10 on the dirt. Clay season isn’t far away!

ANNA BONDAR RECENT FORM

Anna Bondar lost her first match of the season in Canberra, Australia against Elise Mertens, but won three outings in Hobart before falling to Anisimova in the round of 16.

Bondar followed that up with first-round losses at the Australian Open and Linz before finding a pair of wins in Cluj, Romania. Suzan Lamens ended her tournament in Cluj, and Bondar lost her most recent effort on February 7 against Aoi Ito in Doha.

The Hungarian native started the week ranked 96th on the WTA Tour and is following up a successful 2024 campaign with four tourney wins. All four titles were earned at the ITF/Challenger level and Bondar completed a 49 – 33 season.

Will Anna Bondar ever win a match on the grass? She is 0 – 6 on that surface since 2019 without a single win.
