Suzan Lamens banked tournament win number 3 of the 2024 campaign this past Sunday. With Monday off to travel from Osaka to Guangzhou, the Dutch native arrives at the party as a considerable underdog against Bouzova to begin the Guangzhou Open.

With the Japan Open win in the books, Lamens watched her ranking jump to 88th on the WTA Tour as she takes on 47th-ranked Bouzkova on Tuesday in China. It’s taken four years to see Lamens break into the top 100 of the WTA Rankings and the Dutch native is enjoying her best season as a pro. Lamens can pocket 40 wins for a second consecutive season after putting up a 41 – 31 record in 2023.
