Suzan Lamens vs Linda Noskova WTA Open de Rouen Prediction: We’re Going The Distance

Odds as of 7:00 am UK Time on April 17, 2025. Odds may now differ.
We’re going the distance, and I expect an epic three-set affair to transpire on Thursday in France. With the French Open only a month away, getting clay experience at this WTA250 event could be pivotal for these ladies, not that anyone expects an outrageous run at the second Major Tournament of the campaign.
Suzan Lamens helped us with a cashed ticket against Bianca Andreescu, and what a match the two of them gave us. Bianca didn’t go quietly into the French night and pushed Lamens to a third-set tie-break, and if you didn’t see how the match ended, go look it up.
Suzan Lamens hasn’t even gotten out of the second round of the French Open, but we’re not there yet. Can Lamens upset Noskova?
Seeing Noskova favored at -250 doesn’t say much for Lamens’ chances, but I digress. Noskova hasn’t been playing her best tennis. Noskova was 1 – 4 until the first-round win against Bernarda Pera, and even that was a struggle for the 33rd-ranked Czech Republic native.
Pera took the first set against Noskova, 6 – 4, and the -215 favorite had to bounce back and win the last two frames to advance to the second round.
I can’t shake off the four losses for Noskova before getting to France, and the match with Bouzas Maneiro sticks out to me. I’ll be talking more about the Spaniard later today, but losses to Bouzas Maneiro, Lulu Sun, and Clara Tauson recently don’t inspire me to put that much juice on Noskova to even win.
The +4 at -110 suits me fine, and Lamens will cover and give Noskova all she can handle in France. It will lead to a three-set thriller, so cash that +158 ticket on the Over 2.5 sets prop.
SUZAN LAMENS RECENT FORM
Suzan Lamens came up with a miraculous win against Bianca Andreescu, and she covered the game count en route to the three-set win over the Canadian in the first round.
Lamens started the week ranked 69th on the WTA Tour, and the Dutch native has won her last three outings after going 2 – 0 at the Billie Jean King Cup last week.
This is Lamens’ tenth WTA tournament appearance, and she has yet to win more than twice at any event.
The 25-year-old Dutch native has four clay titles at the ITF/Challenger level, and with a 13 – 10 record on the first last season, she completed a fifth straight campaign with a positive record on this surface.
LINDA NOSKOVA RECENT FORM
Linda Noskova has three clay titles at teh ITF level, but since joining the WTA Tour, she has not enjoyed much success.
Noskova went 6 – 6 last season and 6 – 5 the year before on clay, and only went 9 – 8 on hardcourts to start this year’s campaign.
The Czech Republic native will face Bernarda Pera again in doubles after this match with partner Gabriela Ruse.
